The royal sword is really good for this one.

Though you have to kill like 3000 enemies to get it, so it's a bit of a bother...

One of the best parts of Castlevania is when you fight Death! The fucking grim reaper himself! Always one of the most challenging and difficult boss fights as well. I like this Death because he has dialogue and personality.

Death looks much better in this game..the way he stood still is perfectly awesome..He's Dracula's favorite and a loyal desciple than other bosses in this game..Even during joining with dracula and battling together to kill jonathan..Death's moves were fucking awesome..his weapon is horrorbly cool..=)

He can't use it like the Belmonts did. Only by defeating the Whip's Memory, like John before him, can he use it like that.

I always figured that Jonathan found an alternative to using the whip, and, if he did unlock it, saved it for Brauner and Drac, and then put it away until it was needed again.

Death was a real pain in the ass on Richter mode hard max lvl1...

Took me more then 70 tries to finally develop a strategy and beat him lol

i started playing POR of ruin again.

and i was playing through the game where I collect all items that are 2 star (when i got luck boost it took a while)

and when I fought death a glitch happened.

and I beated him and went back to save.

then when i entered the room

there was death's portal thing where he sticks his hands out of.

and i couldnt exit the room, cause it counts that he is still alive

This battle is very hard. But i think one of the hardest is trying to use the purify spell on stella and her sister..

I remember getting Tempest but then I couldn't jump out of the hole it was in, so I had to restart and skip it. What am I doing wrong?

i dont know how ur really soposed to do it.

but what i did was once i was in there, I waited for a medusa head to come, and once i did my double jump, i did the down kick and hit a medusa.

cause when u hit a target it gives u an extra jump after the impact

so u get like 3 jumps xD

I think that u can use the Tempest spell for a jump boost. That's how i got out.

Heh, I found a funny glitch when fighting him for a second time. Once you have the Grand 5 summon, use it on him when he throws his reaper out. It gets stuck =P

Do you know some1 else who plays PoR? If you do, ask him or her to put Long Sword in their Shop. Then connect with them on Shop Mode and buy their Long Sword. Even if they don't have the item, they should still be able to put it on their shop.

the only way i could beat death is by using the cheap way. (Spamming dual crushes and mp-restoring items) but now i've seen this, i'm going to try again. I always seem to die when he uses the attack with the hands :(

How do you get Royal Sword?

As far as I remember, you need to finish the quest where you need the long sword and I can't remember if there are two or one more item with it, what I'm sure is that you'll the long sword and a mushroom item you can pick up from those fungus men in forest of doom.

you're wrong. that's another weapon. you get the royal sword by killing 1500 enemies then you talk to wind to get it.
