Turok 2008 is nothing like the original. Turok: The Dinosaur Hunter was a godsend when it was made, and one of the best single player first person shooters ever made.

Turok 1&2 are still better. I gave this one a try a while ago for PS3, it was decent, but the enemies are way too hard to kill with a gun. I hate when an enemy just shrugs off like 10-20 bullets like nothing happened. The bow and knife kills are great though! A little improvement with the gun physics and this one could have been a winner. I am a big fan of all of the crazy weapons provided by the Turok games. I love the cerebral bore!!

I think this is the only one I haven't played? Because I've played; Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (N64), Turok 2: Seeds of Evil (N64), a stupid game>Turok: Rage Wars (N64), and Turok: Evolution (NGC).

You realize that Turok is a comic book that has been published since the 60s, right? THIS is most definetly, NOT Turok. A video game reboot is not an official cannon reboot for a character that has been around for longer than home video games have.

A reboot of a video game that was based off the comic series. And yeah, the Turok comics have been re-released...and what does that have to do with anything I said? They didn't make him some generic military character when they re-released the comics. He was an indian brave, which is kind of the point of the character. I'm sure you're best argument is gonna be to tell me to fuck off again, so what's the point? Who cares about artistic integrity and being respectful to the source.

I picked this game up for about 20 bucks. The game is very difficult and the controls need getting used to, but it grows on you after awhile and I enjoy it now. The graphics and soundtrack are really cool. I just wish they had added a run button.

This should have been called GENEROK, because that's what it was. The game was nothing like the old turoks, except for the protagonist name (Which shouldn't be the name, since the turok refers to the dinosaur hunter, not the name) and the dinosaurs which were way too easy to kill. I love the old Turok's and this just craps all over the franchise that the N64 so proudly had.

My favorite in the series is Turok 2, followed by Turok 1 (Didn't play 3 and Rage Wars was just MP)...the Xbox 1 /GC/PS2 version was garbage (Seriously in the videos the mouths dont move?? WTF lol) and this PS3/360 version is better but still...eh gimme a Turok 2 HD remake and I'll be happy.

You know since turok evolution for gamecube, turok has been my favorite fps series. But when I heard that the wifi was shut down for this new turok game and I haven't heard anything about them making a new turok I lost faith in them and moved on. My favorite shooting game now is conduit 2 for wii. Lets hope turok will have another game coming in real soon I love dinosaurs.
