green terrors are hard to sex, sexing by tailfins is not always accurate, there are males with rounded fins and females with long fins, my female convict has long fins. so yeah. i have a 8 inche green terror. only accruate way to sex ca/sa cichlids is by venting them ( looking at there undersides. OO-female Oo-male )

My green terror grew really fast. He's gone from about 1" to 6" in about 9 months...

Holy Hell, I bought one of these a few days ago, he's only at about an inch and a half right now, and the card said they top out at about six inches!! I have him in a 30 gal with two filters running separate cycles, and then have a 55 set up the same way that already has an albino tiger and a red oscar in it. Should I move him to the bigger tank once he grows a bit more? If I put him in now he's food for sure.

I hate Blood parrots they are total freaks and shouldnt even exist are far as I'm concerned.

Do yourself and the Nic a favour and get rid of it and get few more Nics that way you might get a viable fry from from a pair of real fish . Peace

Pleco man i bought a green terror 2day and he is just like your just way smaller but the fin and real light colour is just like yours...:) i hav another green terror same size as the other 1 i hav but the fin isnt like the way yours is or my other green terrors is... and its dull in colour and very dark its fin is like rounded and it hasnt got any bright colours on its body just the 3lines on its face..i think its a girl what do you recon

If you're talking africans that need hard water levels, then no.

I've seen GT's kept with Frontosas many times without problems, african cichlids that don't need hard water levels are frowned upon by some people as it's 'unnatural', but in most cases, it's ok.

I am currently keeping a breeding pair of convicts, a jack dempsey, a salvini, and a texas cichlid with an african giraffe catfish and there's been no problems.
