  • So sad.....

  • Translate it please, please :-) I can speak english and czech, but I cannot speak swedish:/ Please plese do it...

  • the start....

  • my thoughts are that even though ABBA said they were not breaking up at this time, the guys defo knew it was the end of the road, and the girls probably too.

Its ironic, the best music they made was between 1980-1983, even though no-one really took much of an interest.

Im 23, and love ABBA to death. I would rather play one of their songs that some shit Lady GAGA turns out........<3

  • What is the reason Bjorn divorced the lovely Agnetha? Anybody please tell me. I am nostalgic of ABBA tho' I was born two or three years (1985) after they "unoffiicially" called it quits... I need a reply please?

  • i get the feeling as to 'why' the called it quits -- !

  • Omg Frida looks so beautiful in that first clip. She is stunning.

  • Sad, to think they are all still alive, it would be fabulous to see them get back together to play live and even record a new album.

It would rival the second coming...

  • @KenfromDublin While a lot of fans feel that way, I lean toward caution, as the fans may still see ABBA as they were back then, not as they are today...living different lives with different people, enjoying grandchildren. I personally woudn't want my perception of history's perfect pop group to be destroyed, especially after I brag about how they used to be, WHEN THEY WERE YOUNG. I'm content to know that they're still the hottest, even after not recording for 3 decades.

  • @supersonrise

Ah you'd be surprised Super', kids today aren't that judgemental or ageist at all and will nonchalantly allow for the ageing process.

I genuinely believe an ABBA reunion would be an epic event, greeted with universal euphoria by their countless millions of fans - just remembered that was the name of their recording label 'Epic'.

  • @KenfromDublin You sound like a fellow schoolteacher, and I appreciate your view. I suppose I don't look at it from a young person's point of view, but from my own, and try to zealously guard my perception. But you ARE right about it's potential of being an epic event...THE event.

  • Just too bad but it's inevitable, how can u meet your former spouses and act like nothing's ever happen everyday. Pressures mount and then it burst

  • Umm, do you mean last appearance or first?

  • ABBA voice is so powerful

  • 3:12 Frida looks very milfy in this video :)

  • How old are they here? Agnetha looks really old!

  • First song, I love the magic music... ^^

  • The early romantic aura is long gone by now, but they seem to be so comfortable in each other's company, that's nice. This is a great song.

  • Vi I Femman (We/Us in the Fifth Grade) was a quiz-show for kids, with kids. Can't remember any groups playing on the show.

  • Frida is soo gorgeous

but.. she looks sad or depressed or something.

  • men gud vad Frida ser ut!, och jahapp.. redan vid 82 splittrades ABBA ... :(

  • GBXGHB

  • @zephranna01 her eyes are actually green!! :]

  • @KatyLynn23 blue

Princess Frida has green eyes. :)

  • how is the first song called please?

  • @msinvincible2000 People Need Love

  • Ohh!. Tack! Har aldrig sett denna intervju innan. Jätte kul. Jag älskar (love) ABBA. Kul å se! STORT TACK!. KRAM!. Thomas

  • they were all already divorced at that time werent they?? =(

  • 1982???

  • ANNA was so skinny here.

  • abba RULE.

  • o sujeito deve estar equivocado sobre o ano descrito, pois parece que o video é de quando começaram...

  • podes crer eu diria primeira aparição

  • São dois momentos. Um em 72 e outro em 82.

  • Please please is there subtitles somewhere ??? I love ABBA but i can't understand Swedish

  • @girlRock1000 These four are going to sing a song in english, called "People need Love"

(They sing for a little while)

1972 did Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha and Frida under the name "Fest folket "(Party-people). It took 2 more years until they change their name to ABBA. And they became the 70's most popular pop-band.

In November 1982 ABBA where guests on the show "Nöjesmaskinen". Just a few weeks before the band was going to split.

  • @philipssonskan... Thank you so much for translating.

  • @girlRock1000 (In the interview:

Male Interviewer: When we met earlier today you guys said that you where tired of aswering the same boring questions all the time. So I'm going to ask, when do you think that ABBA will split?

    Frida: Oh, now, haha

Bjorn: That's the most asked Question of all.

Female Interview: OK, so what Question is the dummest?

    Agneta: Never keep a smile...

  • @girlRock1000 Benny: We where on some music-reunion (I don't know the proper translation...) in Cannes a couple of years ago, and we got two questions in a row that I think is kinda good. The firt one was "Do you like music, yes no?" and the second "How to make a hit?"

Male Interviewer: What did you say?

    Agnetha: Yes

Benny: I don't know. We where pretty polite actually.

Frida: I thought it was so funny So I had to leave the room. First time ever!

  • @girlRock1000 Bjorn: You got angry

Frida: I got angry and I thought it was funny. I didn't really know how to handle that

    (They sing "Under Attack")

The song "Under atack" was on the record "The first ten years" that got realesed November 8th. The song wasn't a hit and didn't make it to the charts. But the record placed first on the Carts in England.

  • @girlRock1000 Male Interviewer: You're here cos' you celebrate your 10th anniversery.

Female Interviwer: Didn't you do that last year?

Bjorn: Yeah: But it wasn't for real. At least I don't think so. The others may think so.

    Male Inteviewer. Why not?

Bjorn: "Ring ring" that I think is our start, that song me and Benny started writing about this time of year 10 years ago.

Benny: But on the other hand, our first single came out before that. )

  • @philipssonskan thank you soooo much, i can't stand it when i can't understand something. so thank you

  • please English subtitles for those who don´t speak swedish, thanks!

  • @Silviatube2006 iVE TRANSLAED IT NOW.

  • How sad it was!

Who remembers their work after the dismiss of ABBA?

When it was happened just in their best career moment!

If they can continue more 5 years, there could be many more wonderful songs!!!

  • awesome - i am a true diehard ABBA fan alive - young teeny bopper during their reign of pop - take note mattsasurfer - and i would so love to meet them all - but i was true fan of agnetha.

  • SUPER !!! ABBA is a endles love !

  • omg so sad. swissprincess1974, were you alive during abbas fame? im so so jealous of people who were. im what you call a next generation fan. i so wish they would do a comeback tour. then i can die a happy woman

  • 1980s fashions aged people and weren't as sexy as the 1970s styles. It's why the 1970s look has been back since the 1990s.

  • Ice blue. The dominant color she was wearing at the time was reflected in her eyes and made her eyes appear to be that color.

  • perfect interview with ABBA thanks to hear them talk in Swedish,so good,so much ABBA

    never forget them...2009

  • No doubt about that. But she dosen't like anybody on her property, except people whom she invited etc.

  • Well good luck then :-) I just have to warn you a bit, she dose not like that fans comes to her house!

  • Blue ;-)

  • This is their FIRST, not last, TV-performance.

  • The first part in this video where ABBA are sitting around the piano is one of their first TV performances, yes. But not the last part where they appeared in 'Nöjesmaskinen'. That is as a matter of fact their very last performances as ABBA and that is what the name is set for. The first part is just to show how it was like back then!

  • Anna & Frida are just as gorgeous now as they were then. Translate if necessary.

  • Hehe. 'Piepel nid law' (2)

I love "Super Trouper" it's a really good music -

  • Are you refering to Frida as a "quisling child"? As if it's HER fault who her das was! You're a fucking idiot for trying to insult her.

  • Nu ska de sjunga en låt på engelska. "Piepel nid lavv". Haha.

  • Hahaha

  • @straussen Hahahaha those were the days!

  • The songs on this preformance (at least Under Attack and Super Trouper) were also aired by the BBC on the Late Late Breakfast Show.

  • Yes it was a LIVE satalite link from Sweden.. so they aired in Britain too... there's also a nice little informal interview with Noel Edmounds if you can find it here..

  • A very meaningful event for us abbaphiles. Thank you for posting this video, swissprincess1974. Though it is sad, it is important and emotive.

  • Glad you liked it!

  • hahaha-are you okay, man-LOLThey were no gays! And I think that the girls were "guilty for this Wonderful songs-they were the inspiration of benny and bjorn!i love them! And frida especially:)heh

  • What? No it came from Frida!!

  • wrong. b&b are still togeather while the quisling child has ben disgarded

  • !? They are just good friends!!

  • Okay....What should we call this? Surely we can't call it "The day the music died", because here we all are still enjoying them! How about..."The day the music was put on hold "? Very nice video Sandy.

  • Thanks a lot :-D
