Be sure to thank Harper and the Conservative government every time another one of our kids come back in a body bag! Its not the Canadian kids fault, they are only trying to make a living and get ahead in life by joining the army. On the other hand, our government only wants to play nice with the Americans at our young generations expense. Shame on you Stephan Harper!
At what point do you soldiers listen to all the Architects, engineers, physics professors, and High military brass, that are saying the world trade center buildings were brought down with explosives? At what point do you realize a mega pipeline is being built in Afghanistan? At what point do you listen. Is it truth you seek, or false glory.
Well douschebag it wasnt me personally that dropped that shit ! I have worked side by side with canadian troops dickhead . And in every war their is friendly fire dumbshit even Americans have been killed by our own and the Brits
@mrmike677 How DARE you not support them. The men and women, some of which actually come from the immigrants you slander, and put their lives on the line so you have the right to say things like that which in my opinion you should be shot for.
Simple reality, if you can't support them, stand in their position, you be their human shield, tolerant Canadian society can do without your bigotry.
P.S I'm not an immigrant, unlike you, I'm tolerant of actual Canadian society. Join the reality grandpa.

Trooper Larry John Zuidema Rudd was killed after an improvised explosive device detonated during a routine security operation, about 20 kilometers southwest of Kandahar City, in the Panjwa’i District, at approximately 12:30 p.m. Kandahar time on 24 May 2010
The streets of Toronto are lined with hundreds of people giving their respect and support of our Countries Soldiers serving overseas when the fallen have come home. My heart and thanks to the families of these outstanding and brave individuals. They have my highest support and thanks for providing the very blanket of freedom they have provided for each of us.
May God lead all of them into the Kingdom of Heaven with his guiding hand.

@Slacker82 thank you for you comment, it shows that perhaps there is hope yet for you americans, present company excluded, it takes a truly decent person to feel remorse for people he does not know, who are not from his country, i thanks you
If you support the troops, then you support the killing of thousand of innocent civilians. If you support the troops, then you support an evil dictatorship that places no value on human life. What you should be supporting is an end to war and the safe return of the soldiers. Let's get Harper and McKay's fat asses on the front line and see how long it is before these quislings cut and run.
@samsananda Look, since we can't do anything about the fact that they are there, the most we can do for the service men and women who volunteer to go overseas, is remind them what they are fighting to protect, that those back home are behind them.
You try having a family over there or serving in the military, regardless you agree for the reasons we are there, you stand behind them because you know one your child/spouse/best friend/etc is over there.
@samsananda I understand where your coming from, but i like to support the troops until America decides to cut the bullshit with Afghanistan. I mean, they started the war, many soldiers have died, and for what? Nothing!
"So you'll live, you'll live, young fellow my lad, in the gleam of the evening star, in the wood-note wild and the laugh of a child, in all sweet things that are.

This is a fitting tirbute. There should be an updated one (2009) made with this soundtrack. Reminds me of the Last Post and Reveille at Remembrance Day. Very good choice of O Canada versions.
KANDAHAR, Afghanistan — A Canadian soldier travelling behind the senior commander in Afghanistan's Kandahar province was killed today when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device.
Cpl. Nicholas Bulger, 30, was a member of 3rd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, based in Edmonton.
Five other soldiers were hurt. One escaped injury.
My boyfriend is a part of the 3rd Batallion of the PPCLI. It is a little scary knowing that he is out there
this is by far the most touching video I've seen, thank you. my blessings to all the families that carry a lost, soldiers from my platoon are deploying next month, therefor I appreciate all who still show respect and support.
These soldiers arent fighting for your freedom. If they are i would like someone to show me some solid facts how occupying another country makes this one safer. These people are dying for rich man intrests for global commerce.
In this war, you are right, as it's more of a political struggle, but in a lot of wars, even though dispatched to another country, the soldiers fight for their country because the enemy can move there and attack them if they don't. Or if you look at it in a representing your country way then they're also fighting for their country.
It is a solders Job to sacrifice for his country, His life if need be. At the very least the citizens of Canada (and the US) should respect this and support the men and women who are in harms way. your beef is with your governments and politicians. Not with the men and women who are proudly serving ( and dieing )
if you support these troops or not, its still a fact that they died and deserved to be honored, in my eyes the war in incorrect, but i still honor the men and women that die...
If you dont support our troops why dont you go to hell first, must be nice to live in a free country as beautiful as Canada is, you have the nerve to say that and actually post that. You disgust me, I have no time for people like you. I was married to an Airman, and he was in the first Gulfwar, both my sons are in the canadian Airforce. But remember one thing, every night you are going to sleep in a peaceful country, our troops saving your ass from terrorists. You a disgrace to canadians.
Show us how to stick those yellow ribbons up our asses. Here is a thought: I got two sons in the canadian Airforce, my best friend is a commando, and a whole bunch of other soldiers, why dont you say that to their faces? Instead of hiding online and shoot your dumb uneducated mouth off. We dont need your support, but one day you might need them and then they will remember what you said. Chickenshit you are
Hey show some fucking respect. For all I care you can go to hell you dumb shit. FUCK what is wrong with people?!!?!??! These guys are getting blown to pieces and you don't even have enough respect to acknowledge that. FUCK YOU. People like you are bad apples in this country. Nobody said you had to support them but at least fucking show some respect. This is a tribute video for fucks sakes.
i say that cuae we have 32000 hard fighting soldiers in afgan and more in Iraq and none of the fucking nato countries our ALLIES are doing shit Canada has only 2500 troops in afgan how do you want me to feel this is supposed to be everyone's cause.
ok so you're upset that we don't have enough soldiers there- I can understand that and I think some Canadians might agree with you. But why do you feel "we are doing shit"? Your comment is undermining the efforts of the 2500troops that are there. Just because they do not have as much soldiers there as America, does not mean they aren't "hard fighting soldiers" as well. America will always have more soldiers in service since you have a greater population.
its not to often I come across a decent canadian; more often than not I run into these extreme jerks and am more use it hearing extremely offensize comments from them Im not trying to undermind your efforts but the guys that complain need to shut up.
I agree with you. We are allies, we are not fighting each other so there is no need for rued comments. At least we both support our troops- which is what people should do. I mean if you don't support your troops you don't deserve to be a citizen of your country, whether it be America or Canada. God Bless Canada and America. I will end with a favourite quote of mine "When I reach those pearly gates, to St. Peters I will tell, one more soldier reporting sir, I've spent my time in hell."
I agree with what has been said, in the sense that America has given more troops, but there is one thing that we canadians have that they don't and that is the bravery of our fellow men and women.
As much as I am proud to be Canadian, and support our troops just as much as you... I have to disagree.
It's not right to make us above Americans, despite what's been going on today. Americans have just as brave men and women, just as any other country does. Heck, it would take courage to join the military on your own. I know you meant nothing offensive, or atleast I hope you didn't, but keep that in mind.
What I ment was that the United States is coming up with ways to pull their troops off of the battlefield and replace them with robots and other types of machinery. That is all I had itentionally said.
What a touching tribute. May we NEVER take for granted the freedom we have here in Canada. And a big thank you to the military for ensuring that we remain free.
May the fallen rest in peace. Thank you for your courage and selflessness.
My prayers are with those troops currently serving in Afghanistan. You are appreciated!
If tears could build a stairway And memories were a lane We would walk right up to Heaven And bring you back again No farewell words were spoken No time to say goodbye You were gone before we knew it And only God knows why But know we know you want us To mourn for you no more To remember all the happy times Life still has much in store
Thank you Canada. As an American veteran, I have great respect for the military forces of our ally and friend to the north. Your sacrifices for freedom around the world are recognized and the heroism and valor of your armed forces is not forgotten.
Thank you very much, i'm really happy to heard some people said that, beacuse in our country there's a LOT of people against that war..They just don't understand...Thank you again
This made me cry and a bit ashamed that we German Soldiers are not fighting.I have the greatest respect for every soldier who paid the ultimate sacrifice!Keep up the good work!
As I wipe the tears, I want to thank Vincent (Vaporblast) for this video. Merci Vincent. Last year my daughter participated in a French oratory contest and won her category with a speech titled "Qui est Canadien ou Canadienne?" The short answer to the Canadian identity, in her opinion, was "those who are willing to fight for Canada when called upon." None more than these brave men and women. God Bless.
my favorite teachers husband is over there right now and im very pruod of him and all the other sodiers but i do not agree with the war still i hope they are stay strong
When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom filled room why cry for a soul set free miss me but let me go for this is a journey that we must all take and each must go alone its all part of the masters plan a step on the road to home miss me but let me go when you are lonely and sick of heart go to friends we know and bury your sorrow in doing good deeds miss me but let me go!
28May07 BBC today "Bloodshed in Afghanistan has returned to levels not seen since the fall of the Taleban in 2001, with parts of the south and east particularly hard-hit." How many more to die for WHAT?
please, this is not a group of people you will sway with your viewpoints. we are here to pay respect to our fallen heroes, not degrade their deaths with our lack of support for what they chose to die for.
Thanks Canada..Always there, 1914-2007 and still showing the same fighting spirit that took Vimy Ridge in 1917 after many others had failed..May your fallen rest in peace.
Best wishes from a British Army veteran of Afhanistan..
Canada made a commitment to the world to stand up and protect the rights of those who need protecting! I respect ALL the soldiers who serve, and protect our borders.WE live with freedom because THEY made a choice, and a decision to join the services.
Canadian soldiers are well known around the world for their bravery, and I am proud to be a Canadian!!
With all respect to the fallen, is it worth it? I wish these guys were home. Alive. Is that too much to ask? The US is hated world wide, and now that hate is spilling over into Canada. This makes any country safer?
thank you soliers for keeping our country safe god bless canadians and americans for helping with us and getting both countrys free eagles sore, i wish americans and mostly the best and beautifullest place canada god bless canada and the canadian soldiers..
god bless this people. I hope that one day we can live in a world that the wars dosent exist and the tributes that we can see be from people that die on his 80s and not with a gun shot...sorry for my english...god bless all and we can make the change.
we love you. god bless those who have fallen and protect those still fighting. they hold the highest honor, who do the countries will and fight. lest we forget.
fuck you army lovers. you guys are destroying the whole civilizations of these poor countries. look at the civilian casualties in both countries. i feel sorry for the soldiers cause they are just following orders. but its the political leaders who should die who started a very fuck up and never ending war. may god forggive them
A soldier does what needs to be done, do not critisize the soldier, question the diplomats..only.
THANK A VET, that you have the FREEDOM you enjoy today! It's the vet that gave you the freedom to Bash us in uniform, to gather/rally in public, to be informed of news & freedom of choice.
Islam is the enemy. Radical Islam started your never ending war. When you say "i feel sorry for the soldiers cause they are just following orders" don't insult their intelligence. If you can't take the praise that people have for these courageous Canadians, then fuck you!
I'm a cdn solder from the royal 22e regiment and my tour of duty is comming up next august. My greatest respect to all servicemen in afghanistan and iraq. It pisses me off that some goddamn people don't see or apprciate the sacrifices that we do. Anyways, the vid is awesome. Je me souviens.
If you're Dutch, you know about us Canadians and I think your parents (or grandparents) have instilled in you what a good soldier is all about, and I'm sure you're that...be safe.
To our Fallen Canadian brothers... rest in peace my friends. Greater love has no man than he who lays down his life for his friend.. From an Irish Ranger
man to the poeople who talk shit about our army my uncloe died in afganistan so keep your FUCKING COMENTS TO YOURE SELF ASS HOLES and good video i had tears in my eyes cause i remember seeing the news and my uncle was KIA
ALL indications are that Afghanistan is slipping backwards; that support for anti-Western forces increases. THE OVERALL BRITISH COMMANDER, A FEW MONTHS AGO, SAID THE TIDE HAD TO TURN WITHIN 6 MONTHS OR IT WOULD BE A FAILURE. NO TIDE IS TURNING. It is a guerrilla war, and we cannot win against guerrillas, increasingly supported by locals (and hence invisible) - we will not bring peace, we will not bring good government. We must thus state the horrible truth our men and women have died in vain.
rogeryvon: Oh yes we will! CDNS are target. Leopard tanks their now. Yesterday suicide bomber targeted CDN of Kandahar, no damgge done to CDNS but two U.S. Soldiers killed
Remember all those that fought for us and lost their lives, for us today. Remember those, that are fighting a fight right now - a fight - most believe should not be happening, but - the fact remains, they are there - we need to SUPPORT OUR CANADIAN GUYS!!
vaporblast: Correct. Tarnack Farms; Book out now on that Called 'Friendly Fire' by Michael Friscolanti. VERY thorough. 'Untold Story of the U.S. Bombing that killed Four Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan.'
Also good is 'Blue on Blue' by Geoffrey Regan show how U.S. Air force rename American Luffwafa in WW11
Excellent tribute, I hope this shows Americans and other people that no matter the number of casualties, the amount of suffering and pain we get is still the same.

cyberjunky26 3 years ago
i say that cuae we have 32000 hard fighting soldiers in afgan and more in Iraq and none of the fucking nato countries our ALLIES are doing shit Canada has only 2500 troops in afgan how do you want me to feel this is supposed to be everyone's cause.
classicrocker2142 3 years ago
ok so you're upset that we don't have enough soldiers there- I can understand that and I think some Canadians might agree with you. But why do you feel "we are doing shit"? Your comment is undermining the efforts of the 2500troops that are there. Just because they do not have as much soldiers there as America, does not mean they aren't "hard fighting soldiers" as well. America will always have more soldiers in service since you have a greater population.
cyberjunky26 3 years ago
its not to often I come across a decent canadian; more often than not I run into these extreme jerks and am more use it hearing extremely offensize comments from them Im not trying to undermind your efforts but the guys that complain need to shut up.
classicrocker2142 3 years ago
I agree with you. We are allies, we are not fighting each other so there is no need for rued comments. At least we both support our troops- which is what people should do. I mean if you don't support your troops you don't deserve to be a citizen of your country, whether it be America or Canada. God Bless Canada and America. I will end with a favourite quote of mine "When I reach those pearly gates, to St. Peters I will tell, one more soldier reporting sir, I've spent my time in hell."
cyberjunky26 3 years ago
I agree with you whole entirely on supporting one's own troops.
classicrocker2142 3 years ago
I agree with what has been said, in the sense that America has given more troops, but there is one thing that we canadians have that they don't and that is the bravery of our fellow men and women.
Meibukan2 3 years ago
As much as I am proud to be Canadian, and support our troops just as much as you... I have to disagree.
It's not right to make us above Americans, despite what's been going on today. Americans have just as brave men and women, just as any other country does. Heck, it would take courage to join the military on your own. I know you meant nothing offensive, or atleast I hope you didn't, but keep that in mind.
GhostlyBagel 3 years ago
What I ment was that the United States is coming up with ways to pull their troops off of the battlefield and replace them with robots and other types of machinery. That is all I had itentionally said.
Meibukan2 3 years ago
Excellent video. I stand 100% behind our troops and the mission to protect the freedoms that far too many of our citizens take for granted...

God Bless.
