OH man that was and is one of my most favorite shows, That guy Dale Midkiff never got a better chance after the ending of this show, he is a gr8 actor, i dont know why such talented actors got vanished before the eyes of Warner bros and other prod. companies...I really miss every thing ...
Sorry for the double post but if and when it gets to DVD I'd highly recommend this show to anyone who's never seen it. I know I'll officially support it. With only 44 episodes it shouldn't be hard for Warner to release it. Sad...some reality shows get well beyond 5 seasons and a great show like this only got 2 seasons.
Really can't recommend this show enough! It's one of the VERY few shows out there that is a personal favorite of mine! At it's heart it was one of the few very well done good guy vs bad guy shows. I can't imagine what it would be like to be 200 YEARS from home like Darien was. As some have said it was planned to run 5 years. This, Kung Fu and Babylon 5 were all planned for 5 seasons. Only Babylon 5 made it :( ended way too soon. toward the end of season 2 they started hinting about season 3.
my sisters husband was in time trax as a taxi driver in hawaii, he was in it for 3 mins, got paid 1500 buks, trying to find the ep its called A Stranger in Time season 1 ep 1, if sumone has it let me no plz, his son my nephew doesnt beleiive me lol
I remember tha taxi driver, your brother-in-law. He said something like, "I was doing 60, when he got out and started running like it was nothing." Was that him?
It was pointed out to me that Quantum Leap was released in the US before TimeTrax. Regardless, as a big TimeTrax fan it is great to see these clips from such a terrific show here on YouTube. I too am anxiously awaiting for the shows release on DVD. So many old shows are coming out on DVD that I hope it is only a matter of time. This show came out before Quantum Leap. And the JeanClaude VanDamm movie where he plays a time-traveling cop seemed to borrow heavy from this show. I like TimeTrax and I thought it deserved to be a big hit in the US. It was filmed in Australia, and Dale Midkiff said in an interview that he like Australia, but was happy to return home to the US, because he missed his family in Maryland.
Trax was good viewing and I loved the theme and it is still one of my all time favorite shows. I would love to see a DVD come out. There was so much in terms of possible plots, it would have taken a long tme to get burned out.
This was an awesome show. In quantum leap and sliders they couldn't go home even if they wanted to, in time trax he can go home anytime he wants but he won't cos then he wouldn't be able to go back again
"....searching for fugitives from his own, knowing he can't go home until he has found them all." This sounds similar to Quantum Leap's "leaping from life to life, striving to put right where once went wrong and hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap home" I think that Time Trax as well as Sliders are fashioned after Quantum Leap in premise.
i use to watch this show religiously. they planned on it being on air for at least 5 years becuase i remember one episode where they mentioned the number of fugitives that went back and it was around 100.

You can buy the pilot episode on VHS if you look around on Ebay or Amazon's buy and sell bit. That's where I got my copy.

Time Trax premiered in either 1992 or 1993, Quantum Leap premiered in 1989.
