almost all pop songs are not perfect these days. why? because they are pop songs, they are meant to be catchy. this "music as art" argument is pretty weak, because you are simply redefining it. it's like "calculus is math." It doesn't excuse poor musicianship (which i am not accusing ezra of, for the record). your standard fanboy defense really does nothing productive.
