Jeremy HUnt couldnt do more for big business if he tried. He paved the way for Murdoch to take over BSkyB and just sold off the Tote. He doesnt represent the people but represents the corporate interests that pay him off.
labour were corrupt and bankrupted the country giving money to their cronies, pissing it down the drain and attacking third world countries for no reason. Add in gross civil rights abuses = I'm so glad they're gone. I'm so glad the Tories are inept at talking and lying and all the rest. But the Labour dogs are barking lies from the opposition benches. So what?
So in other words, 'You can run your own public services for free, or you won't have any. Oh, by the way, you've still got to pay the same amount of tax.'
Some complete tits commenting here. Let me point out one simple fact. Should you and your partner be employed and able to afford having a couple of children, what happens if both parents lose their jobs? This will heavily penalise them too. People need to stop seeing this as affecting only others, it affects all of us. When these cuts come, whose to say it won't be you out of work and on benefits? Then let's see you defend it as 'fair'.
@chappyhardcore Everything I'd say. You do realise that the bailout in the UK alone was enough to put at least 15 grand in everybody's bank accounts? Not saying that would have been an ideal solution or alternative but it does make one pause for thought. Another way of putting it is that's how much we each individually owe, even the welfare mums. And the interest is racking up...
@alan78456able I wish i knew what the heck you are on about. You can't expect the government to support parents who don't work, yet squeeze out kids like there's no tommorow for benefits, and expect your views to be right because they "think about the children." Yes we need to provide support for our children, but after the parents have taken responsility of deciding whether or not they can afford to bring them into the world. If circumstances changed whilst the kids were growing up, then fine!
listen to this guy before you comment !!!!! this guy is saying "if you can work and wont work ,no money" and " if you carnt afford kids DONT HAVE THEM " myself who works 6 days a week thats 56hours a week just to pay the bills, why should i pay somebody else bills who carnt be bothered to work . this guy gets my vote everytime , top bloke.
.....as a percentage of the national debt to get the true differences in the parties. And remember national debt is ALL the money the government has spent MORE THAN IT HAS! This is much more important and factual than the deficit which is the yearly amount.
And the proven documented failure bank bailout, was he against funding the ponzi scheme (see Max Keiser report 76). No. So what is this b.s about? Keeping taxes high and cutting benefits for the poor/normal struggling tax payers, whilst keeping the super rich welfare state (PFI, bank bailouts, cronysism, warfare). Right wingers are foolish if they fall for such rubbish. All the three parties are statist, the Tories slightly less so. We have a national debt of 5 trillion, express the savings...
For crying out loud, a 'conservative' makes a 'conservative' comment and the Daily Mail types are calling for him to be PM! He states that people who are taking money from others have a claim to an 'average' wage! That is not right wing at all! All it shows is how far to the left we have come. As for his 'Big Society' (BS), what major aspects of life has government stopped funded and allowed private citizens to fund on a free market? Nothing! Has it cut taxes (leads to MORE tax revenue)? No.....
The big society isn't communism because the state compensated the workers with an expanded welfare sysytem under communism. This is more like stingy voluntary socialism.
Thankyou Jeremy Hunt. Whilst explaining to Paxman that it would be more constructive to draw a line on throwing benefits to over-average size families, he tried to twist it into an attack on the children. It's not an attack on the children, it's handing parents the responsibility of deciding how many children they can have depending on how many they can financially support, rather than thinking "more kids, more money" and sponging off the hardworking taxpayers who fund their living.
LOL is that some kind of "socialist anarchism" these people want (without actually realizing it) ?
I personally always dreaded having to deal with local governments and local committees because of the stunning incompetence, corruption and cronyism, but maybe it's just me ...
The last bit makes perfect sense. Not surprised Paxman wants to continue the system where immigrants or chavs have 10 kids and people who actually work are expected to pay for bringing criminals into the world.
@anon2999 Yeah right. Because wealthy people never commit crime, do they? We underestimate the impact of white collar crims aka banksters & their like at our peril.
Essentially they want the public to behave like civil servants, without pay. But they will probably want us to keep paying the same amount of tax, as if we were getting those services.
