really good documentary!!! I was expecting for something like this to come out!! I was part of the same movement with my band in Argentina and I even remember when Los Crudos played a show with Fun People!! Everything was done with extremely little money but the D.I.Y. was the only way at that time. I still have one cassette from Los Crudos!!!Old times, good times. I still have really good friends from 15 years ago that will love to see this material so I will share it with all of them. Thanks!
Awesome. Simply awesome. I'm glad the people that need hardcore an punk can take it to use for there advantage. There's so much tough guy bullshit in hardcore these days, it seems people forgot what it was all about, and forgot how to use there heads. Do you have any reports from Latino scenes currently? I'm really interested and want to know more.
one last bit, i appreciate how critical and honest this doc is when deconstructing how REAL and URGENT issues of poverty, racism, immigration, violence, imperialism, exploitation, elitism etc are and the effect it has on our communities. punk as a method of resistance? i dig it cuz i live it
this is groudbreaking considering it's still really difficult to find docs/literature/ritnerviews documenting chican@s/latin@s contributions/roles in punk. even more groundbreaking considering that martin is behind this. wouldn't expect anything less from such a tight ass down individual!
I am 20 years into european punkrock, and so, but the intro, with all those latinos going out of their mind, dancing to latino punk: it brings a big smile on my face, to see, that so many latino people are also into punk. i never expected this in 2010. Thanks for the doc. Martin. Greetings from Richard , the mad Dutchman.
@RichardCyberPunk this isnt in 2010 this is older stuff... latino punx were in the scene since it was almost starting the punk scene here in west coast of the us,,, in the 1980s not 2010
