Yes especially playing in bigger venues it is better to play a cunt hair slower. It is better and easier for the people watching to groove to. Plus too fast the verse beat of this song is too "happy" sounding.

yo kevin, question. u sit low... but how can you twin so fast when sitting low? i cant really twin when im sitting low. u use the full power twin method thing? (really pushing the twin hard till its hit the bass n stuff... not like just giving it a small push so it get back fast)

Most killer double bass people sit low so I started doing it... and I got better. Usually the lower people sit... the harder they play their kick drums. Ur not supposed to stomp and muscle your double bass... which is what usually happens when sitting high... or it's being hit extremely soft if it's the "heel down" technique... which I have never been a fan of... it's just way too weak for metal. That's the demon in triggers is that people just start playing like pussies.

Thanks, I've got a Yahama hihat stand, its the same series as the new flying dragon, But it doesent look as high as yours, hmm. I still cant get my seat height decided, I have to experiment.

Kevin, I like the way you played the intro, made it heavier. How do you get your Hihat so high?

I put the hat at the top of the stand so my right hand doesn't limit my left hand stick hight. Some drummers get soft when they move to a hi hat beat... this allows drummers to hit consistantly... at least for me. It may look high cause i sit so low. sitting lower helps you groove better. Talley.

Yes we played it slower in the bigger venues... especially the into... it gives songs a better feel. Otherwise everything is echoing around and it's hard to tell what's going on. It's easier to follow the songs this way.
