@cysyca funny you should ask. i figured i would still do small twists (like 80) but not mini since i've gotten to this length. however, i've been craving mini twists. i may break down, set 8 hours aside and it next month.
@gibel13 once they're there you have to cut them off. to prevent them: limit heat use, use gentle detangling methods. i recommend seamless combs. I recently got a Hercules Sageman comb and I really like it!
Binghamton U.... I grew up in Bingo. I live in Fl now. Did you go to BU? Are you still in that area? I have a huge family in that area. Btw your hair is Fab. I hope to gain that type length. My goal this year is arm pit length.
Happy New Year & Fantastic Progress. I also found in 2011 that low maintenance is the key. My hair is the same length as your, however my aggressive goal is WL by the end of summer. I'm going to knock on wood & see if it will happen. :)
@fatimajames123 thank you! this is definitely the longest and healthiest my hair has been as as a natural. my relaxed hair would get to this length but never for long. the ends would be so split and stringy that i'd have to trim a few inches. i've never really maintained hair past BSL so this i new territory. still don't feel like i have 'long' hair though :)
I was really missing you and to my surprise, decided to stop by the old YT and WHOOO HOOO, a new vidyo from you! Your hair is amazing!!!!! Can't wait to get to where you are one day.
Inspirational! I'm realizing just how much TLC it's gonna take for my hair to stay thick as it gets longer. It's very delicate, and even with finger detangling and gentle care, I can see the difference in fullness after wearing it out for almost 2 months straight. I'm accepting what I always knew; My Hair LoVes Twists(0:
Have you tried homemade flax seed gel? How did it work?

@sunshower143: Do you find that you are able to preserve your hair better now that you are natural as opposed to when your hair was relaxed?
