lol theres alot of misinformed keyboard drifters here....these imprezas are full time rwd, front and central diffs have been removed,custom drive shaft and an r34 rear subframe has been intsalled and running a cusco twin locker l.s.d, as for the engine the block came out of a 2.5 litre forester engine for more bottom end torque

The motor is actually from the EJ25 Legacy with a Greddy TD06 turbine, then comes the custom made propeller shaft, GT-R driveshaft, and the rear-mounted radiators with side air vents . All these small things are straight from JDM Option volume 15 D1 Grand Prix 2005 in Odaiba.

Team Orange Impreza's are converted to RWD as terry said. The remove the front axles from the Tranny. They change the LCA's to pillow ball mounts and use shims to add more positive caster in the front. They also, from what I remember, use Legacy motors and use Skyline GTR rear ends...IMO, if ur gonna drift, get a RWD car hahaha. I would never convert my STi to RWD...defeats the purpose :P

No they used the 2.5 american Impreza block. And yes, they used R34 rear ends.

You can easily do this with your car, but just leave the forward tranny in tact so that you can switch between RWD and AWD as you need it in the Winter.

And RWD mod is not only for drifting, if you track it, it goes faster.

yea, terry is right... I have the subysport mag that they had there first article in and the convert there cars to RWD but removing the front axels. also if I recall they swap the front steering to FWD specs for better turning response but don't quote me on that part.

I would say u could drift with AWD, just look at the clip with the yellow evo (I'm not sure but think it is a JUN evo actually) and rally drivers, it's not just the same u know.
