I spent my 52nd birthday in Krakow this year and loved it. It's a beautiful city. I also went to Auschwitz-Birkenau it's wickedness lingers on today. I also went to the salt mines and visited Pharmacy under the Eagle. (That pharmacist had some guts, another unsung hero!!)I'd like to visit again ~SOON
Actually, it was the Polish underground organization, called "Zegota" that saved most Jews, at least 75,000, they also provide Jews with false papers, food and weapons that they were able to use in the Ghetto uprising
I visited all the places mentioned in this video in 1998. I ate several meals at 2 Jewish resturants located only several blocks from the front gates of shindlers factory. The local Jewish Poles told me that approx. 5,000 Jewish Poles still lived in and around the City of Krakow
I was there two years ago on a pilgrimage to the Divine Mercy but mainly to see Auschwitz, that is the reason why I found it so amazing, the Krakow square and the church looked so authentic because like Prague, it was not bombed at all. It is a very nice place and I also went to see the salt mines and walked down the numrous flight of stairs, so amazing what human beings can do if they put their minds to good use instead of Hitler destroying an ethnic group because of religion. He could be a Jew
He was a quarter Jew... His grandmother was a servant in a rich Jewish household and got frisky with her employee and AloisSchicklgruber was result of that romp... He was Adolf Hitler's father...
Hitler ordered to destroy the place his grandmother worked and got conceived, just in case someone found out...
I've been to your place Gouda, where the Gouda cheese came from. I was there in 1984, stayed at Rotterdam and finished a course at the Institute of Housing Studies, as a scholar of your government, free housing, etc.. I was also at the business class of KLM near the cockpit while my classmates from Indonesia flew thru the Garuda airlines(they were upset about it, having been colonized by your country). We visited all over Holland, I tell people it is the nicest place in Europe.I miss the canals.
@TashunkaUitco unfortunately Your are wrong... few years ago, some historian checks all Hitler's family story again, and he discover that was a fail - Hitler's grandpa couldn't has child with Jew called Frankenberger, because nobody with that name doesn't live in all Austria that time. But anyway - belgian journalist checks Hitler's DNA and he claim, that Hitler has a jewish blood line. But probably, they have Jewish blood line before his father was born.
Żydzi sprytnie wymyślili sobie internacjonalizm i kosmopolityzm.
Niestety margines intelektualny opanował internet i stad tyle absurdalnych i paskudnych komentarzy ( np. LindarPL ).
Pozdrawiam.
@Maarlens Wszyscy tacy wspaniali?
sorry to all jews who've died. =(

You are correct in your narrative, bc it was not a ¨concentration Camp¨but rather as you state - an ¨extermination camp!¨Good job!

What a beautiful city, the pictures I feel do not give it justice. I have to hit the lottery so I can go travel all these places one day.

Krakow is indeed a beautiful city, but I wish the commentator had got his Polish pronunciation right!

Bad map at 1.06. Germany was much bigger and Poland was much more east and bigger. The later occupied polish territories were german that time.

So he hated the religion that his ancestors had, that is why he destroyed his past and also the fact that his grandmother was a servant.

Polscy Zydzi to Polacy wyznania mojzeszowego. Dodam - wspaniali Polacy.
