My first motorcycle was a brand new 2010 Suzuki GZ125 Marauder then as soon as i passed my test i got a preowned 2005 Suzukui SV650N. oh and what a bike, very cheap too.
The GSX1300R Hayabusa is a sport bike, it is not a super sport nor is it a sports tourer. Keep the definitions clean and stop trying to jam everything that is not an R1 into the 'sport touring' category. A 1400GTR is a sport touring bike. An FZ1 is a naked sport. An R1200RT is a touring bike. An R1200GS is an Adventure bike (as is the KTM 990 Adv). A HD Sportster is a cruiser. If it is 'intended' to race in the WSBK its a super bike, if not (but still sporty) its probably a plain old sport bike.
guys i have question, hope anyone can help me here.
i plan to get 2011 kawasaki zx10r. So i sat on it to check and i noiced that my legs hits the stepper? foot steps for clutch and break. But my legs dont hi those steppers on The ninja 250r. For the big bikes like zx10r is that normal for legs to hit the steppers? or am i just short to ride it? i might have hard time if i need to walk the bike
He's not saying these are beginner bikes, and he's not suggesting to start out on one of them. He's just talking about what style of bike you want to get and those are the examples.
Notice how this american is suggesting only the american made for obese americans. Buell and Hardly davisin, and then the Hayabusa? The Hayabusa does not fit into the american realm of motorcycle riding. One can not load up the Hayabusa with Big Macs and icecream.
hayabusas are cool but bikes like r1 and cbr 1000 are real race bike they'll beat a busa on a track or in turns. a ninja zx 14 is faster with or without the limiter .
greater then 150CC and u need an M license, under that a scooter is fine, atleast thats how i understand it is in my state (illinois) motorcycles have a clutch, scooters dont, atleast not the little 50CC crap
and seriously u cant ride a 50CC legally on the roads
It really isn't. Anything can kill you if you fail to respect it. It comes down to both the rider skill and the riders respect for the seriousness of what he or she is about to par-take. Frankly, I would safely bet anyone who spent their whole life on a Harley crusier would be at just as much risk of dying on a 1000cc inline 4 as a new rider. It comes down mainly to the throttle rotations. If you don't learn them, you die.
@TempFix not realy ... it is not depending on the motercycle but on the brain of the person who drive with it , most people are thinking that the know how to control the power, but nonsens .
but i think ure right for some reasons , since allot people jump for there first time as example on a suzuki gsxr 600 or a 1000 , but when the don't use theire mind the can order a coffin allready..

'busa is a sports tourer.. not a sports bike. try putting them round a corner better than a 600/1000 like r1/r6 ect... 'busa is a sports tourer.

when you are debating what type you want to buy, SIT ON ALL OF THEM. get a feel for what fits you the nicest. I prefer sportbikes
