did you send yours in, i also got a yelllow package, and not the box, and was wondering if you sent yours to apple what did you get back was it ipod nano 6th generation/7th generation or the same nano fixed?? Alos do you restore the ipod or send it with all the conents in your ipod(the music)
Yes! If you've got your iPod broked, burnt or not working you can find Apple for the replacement. Cables, headphones or the bill are not required. ONLY YOUR iPOD NANO 1G and your ID. I changed my old iPod nano 1G here in Rio de Janeiro and now I've got a new one brand new, 6G.
@bkfreshkickz Well first. I had to notify apple about my ipod to assure that I can use the recall service. Once the ipod was accepted for this service. That was at the end of November 2011. It took about 2 weeks for them to send me a box so I could send my ipod to Apple, They supplied me with a shipping label and directions on what to do. After sending my ipod to Apple mid December, I received the 6th generation ipod on January 9th. The whole process took about a month and 2 weeks I'd say.
@sirsaulsanch Really? I recieved a padded envolope 6 days after requesting service, then 2 days later Apple recieved it, and now they have already shipped the replacement. About 2 weeks at the most.
@jake14001 This was back when Apple first started accepting the replacement service. I'm sure the process may be quicker now, then when they introduced it back in November.
sent mine back with a broken screen still worked, getting my new one today.

Have you done a review? If not, could you possibly do a really long one showing everything on the iPod including the Fitness app?? Thanks.
