  • get a life, this was just amateur dramatics, they are not students. Just a group of people giving up their time for free

  • @pd200164 I would pay to be IN IT. My dream is to be in Les Miz and play Eponine and it's not playing anywhere near me!

  • what the students need to learn is that people dont die that fast. eponine is supposed to fade at the end not just drop like a weight

  • Good grief, that was incredible!

  • what lunatic voted a dislike on this magnificent video and scene????!!

  • this is a great interpretation of the scene. Thank you for the upload and your daughter has a beautiful voice.

Very touching scene. I love this scene in the whole musical. <3

  • She knows how to sing.

  • One of the best SE of Les Mis I've seen of this scene! Most people completely butcher this song with either under or over acting it! It also helps that your orchestra knew how to make this song sound. :) Maybe you guys got a little loud near the end, but that's ok! Good take on it. Regarding the kiss at the end, it doesn't HAVE to be in there, at least it wasn't in my production, but some people do it. :) I just think it needs to be done well. Some Mariuses would rather kiss her on the forehead.

  • i adore this video. Your daughter is very talented.

  • they're both good singers, though Marius is not a very good actor.

  • Forever one of the most tragic moments musical theatre. I just wish someone would direct it with a longer pause between her flowers and his grow. A lot can happen in that little moment.

  • I agree, there should be silence between flowers and grow for a couple of seconds. When I musically directed this show we did that and all you could hear was people sniffling and crying... pure class. Not the fault of the performers though... good performance.

  • We're doing that with my school... my Marius is holding that pause a little longer than necessary so as to pass off this grief-stricken expression... or maybe something else, I dunno; I'm playing Eponine, so I'm 'dead' by that point..

  • agreed. and the reason there's a pause is because she kisses him, that made me upset it wasn't in here. oh well, not the fault of the actors. amazing singing...marius could use an acting coach though. bit it was great.

  • yeah i was a bit annoyed they didnt do the kiss. Me and Jack were up for it but the director didnt think it was necissary. oh well. its done now

  • once again =) that waz awesome! do i hear broadway? i think so! lol =)

  • is it just me, or did they miss out a verse. The one that goes..."you would live a hundred years if i could show you how, i wont desert you now.."???

But other than that wow!!! amazing!

  • you are right, unfortunatly the school edition is a shorter version

  • it's the school edition..

i'm Eponine in les mis at the moment and all it is is the play has a few verses cut out of it. seeing this play is very demanding it makes it shorter and a little easier on the younger ones.

  • As am I; thought I wish it weren't cut... I think her death seems just too... abrupt with that verse cut, but we make it work.. lol

  • I want to go see this show however i fear now that i will be disapointed if the otheer Ponine is not better than this, which is a very likely possibility :D

  • This applies to both videos your dad posted, Kerrie, and please know that I mean this constructively. You have a beautiful voice, and I believe a bright future ahead. Please consider acting lessons, though. With that voice and some acting coaching, you'll really go far, imo. One of the best Eponines I've ever heard. Your version of "On My Own" moves me as much as Lea's version does. Please stay with it, don't give up.

  • *Wolf whistles*

    Man Marius is hot!

Eponine did a pretty good job too!

    5* =D

  • She was great in everyway. He was trying too hard to be theatrical and looked unreal with his gaze into the ceiling / audience. During the duo, his voice over powered her's. A better and more seasoned performer would have gauged it better and lower his vocal projection to only complement his partner -- especially, if she is dying and forcing her to over project makes it even harder to believe. Hence, only a 1.5 thumbs up.

  • Kerrie you're amazing...

    Simone :)

  • thank you so much xxx

    kerrie

  • this has to be one of the most moving and beautiful versions of this song u have ever seen!

  • This made me cry in the theatre

and it made me cry again now!

this is so convincing and sung so beautifully!

  • No offence for the other actors in the production but you make a way more professional impression.

  • brilliant!

  • Will you please post more videos from this production? I'm blown away by the two you've posted already.

  • Lovely voice :)

  • That was amazing!! Extreamly believable!!

  • very nice voice, and well acted. though it felt like there was a little to much, I think the term in vibrato, throughout the pieces sung by eponine. but well sung none the less.

  • Again, as in "On My Own", an excellent preformance. She shows exceptional talent in one so young. A good foundation for a career in theater, which should be encouraged.
