On January 29, 2010 pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline received approval from the FDA for a medicine called LamictalXR to be used for generalized tonic clonic seizures in kids 13 years of age and older. This is really good news. The medicine is also approved for partial onset seizures. The Wall Street Journal and many other news websites ran this news the first week of February 2010.
