Today we see vald as evil and cruel, but back then the things he did was a nessacity to survie. He may have takin things to more extremes, but those were brutals times,do unto others before they do unto you.
True, he may have been a military genius, and all that, but military geniuses, are fags at heart. If I was the Antichrist, and took over the world, I would exterminate all the military motherfuckers in the world first, especially the voluntary armies, followed by all the politicians, followed by a lot of the major higher up people in a lot of the major corporations in the world, and then the conservative talk show hosts, and people that like them.
Son of the Devil? He was a really cruel king, but that was the 15'th century. That kind of cruelty was not uncommon then. Let's not forget that for a while he kept the ottomans at bay and that he brought justice to his country
Son of the Dragon, not devil. His father, King Vlad II was a knight of the Order of the Dragon, hence the nickname Dracul. Dracula can be translated as little dragon, or Son of the Dragon (son of Dracul).
Vlad was one of the most evil men who ever lived; yet blessed by the Pope; it is a shame how churchmen and women over the centuries have for political, social, military, and financial reasons they have made league even with the Son of the Devil.
Vlad Dracula kept the muslims (otomans) at the gates of Europe. He was blessed by the pope too, because of that. He grew between muslims and learned torture methods (impalement, chopping limbs, etc) and applied them back home. He was hated by his own people. Bram Stocker just mixed Vlad Dracula with Elizabeth Báthory - the hungarian countess that liked bathing in blood, and killed young virgins in her "iron maiden" devices.
Incidentally, Vlad was a military genius who kept Europe safe from the Turks at the height of their power. With an army of only 100 men he repeatedly killed Sultans and destroyed armies of 100,000 strong. As he knew a thing or two about disguises and was raised as a Jannisary he was able to infiltrate the Turkish armies and set them against one another with ease.
There is reason to suppose Stephen III of Moldavia was in fact a greater Romanian than Vlad. Vlad was however an exceptional military leader when Romania needed one.

I say ... he was the devil only to the Muslims that feared him. We could use Vlad today to teach the Muzzies lessons in humility.

@formless777 certainly an admirable man, inspirational as well.
But how was such an actual fact recorded. Apparently from what i
learnt from another documentary, he and his brother was sent
to turkey by their dad, in the turkish army. That' probably how he
"set them against one another with ease.
