@doinotna Leave me the fuck alone seriously. Jamaica lost and since they are so much genetically and naturally better they will whip the U.S. ass in London. I hope you feel better. Just leave me alone.
@phebeharris the USA women will win again in London. Jamaica has it in the bag for the men. but the USA women will bring it back to the states for sure.
what a dissapointing lost for the Jamaicans, the women can certainly beat USA and break the record. They have to do something with the 3 rd leg because it looks like a mental collapse. Maybe they find a better runner for the 3 rd leg than Shimpson and do more drills to get the timing right. It is all about technique.
During the 100m individual meets the Jamaicans can be quicker because they have better and quicker starts that give them a few meters of advantage than the others. During relay you aren't blasting out of blocks so relay will be different than individual meets.
@HopefulJamaican VCB gotten to her mark quicker than Jeter. She received the baton first and took off first. The 4th section in the 6th lane is shorter. So she had the baton first, took off first, and had a shorter straightway than Jeter. She actually had the advantage. She couldn't make up the ground due to Jeter speed. Stop making excuses. Everyone knows that VCB has the potential of beating Jeter. You don't need to be embarrass at her loss.
@phebeharris Such a load of crap.... 4th section in the 6th lane is shorter >_> Taking the baton first doesn't mean as much as you think... Check the stagger.
@Cheetah69 HopefulJamaican VCB received the baton before Jeter and ran off before Jeter. The deficits is due to Jeter quickness in which VCB couldn't match. There was deficits that Jeter made up against VCB. You Jamaicans must have forgotten about that. I watch Jeter close a 3 meter gap between her and VCB and the margin lost was only .03. Another deficit Jeter even the score. VCB wasn't able to make up the deficit because Jeter was too quick. Jeter actually ran a longer leg. VCB leg was shorter
@SkyMegaPrince Stop the excuses. VCB lost and didn't close in on Jeter. It not possible for VCB to catch Jeter at that speed. They both would have ran out of gas by the 110m mark. If Jeter would have slow down and VCB would have maintain her speed then it's possible that she could have caught her. VCB received the baton BEFORE Jeter and ran off first. Please stop the excuses. Jamaica lost.
VCB has got to leave her mark quicker than she has been doing, it is why she has these big deficits to make up. More trust in her teammates I think is what she needs to have. VCB with a running start can beat any woman on this planet! Jamaica Relay practice maybe? Pleeeeease??? pretty please
@SkyMegaPrince Not at all. when you're chasing someone it's much different than leading out from the front. Jeter clearly didn't feel VCB. Had she known she was there, she'd have still beaten her. Much like she did a week later when they lined up to race in Brussels.
PES aren't everything. Some ppl run faster/better on relays than in the open races (AF), just like some ppl run better from behind (vcb) while some prefer a lead.
@CHEETAH69 I think Jamaicans had fast runners with raw speed as well but the USA strategy and tactics won the game,(Felix n Myers is the deadly line up ever seen in relays which give Jeter a comfortable lead before she recieves the baton.)The Jamaicans were fast here but the USA had the legs and good baton exchanges as well.maybe you are wrong by saying *they did not have four fastest woman* .bcos they were led by an Olympic champion and been brought home by an Olympic champion as well(SAF n VCB
The US would have had the record if they would have had Alexandria Anderson! Or even Kimberlyn Duncan, Jeneba Tarmoh, or Shalanda Solomon could have all been a better first leg then Knight!
Briliant strategy by the USA here..second leg & Three is Allyson and Marshevet is really blasting the track,,where its give a helping hand for CarJet to excecute the anchor leg. meanwhile VCB & Shelly Ann doing doing a great job for Jamaican..
@IOwnYouClown Church they were to slow in this race but the commentator said they ran a national record for them so it's the fastest they ever ran. I guess this time the U.S. was really well prepared along with having the fastest runners.
One more thing. Listen to the commentary about the USA's baton exchanges. The best I've seen out of an American quartet in years. On paper and literally, JAM clearly had the faster unit. However, their passes were marginal and they were rewarded with the silver medal. However, I give them congrats on a new NR.
@pookie628 Naw, Williams' running has been sub par this year. Actually, Alexandria Anderson should have led off as she's much faster than Bianca Knight in the 100m. But the USA ladies finally got it done; however, we won't even mention how the men fared or the fool who messed it up - Darvis Patton.
@kmb9624 yea but that relay team (Willams, Felix, Myers,Jeter) is the World Leading Time lol ! either way you put it nobodys catching Shelly Ann Her Start is The Best At The Moment. Honestly I Never Heard Of Bianca Knight Till This Morning I Had To Look Her Up lol. and the thing i didnt like about the men 4x1 was patton was rolling till the last 10 meters i just dont know what he fell over lol
@pookie628 My bad 'bout Paton. It was, in fact, the British runner that bumped Patton. The reports on the iaaf website states that Knight actually got the lead for team USA. It must have happened @ the xchange, 'cause it looked like SAFP got a 1m to 2m lead.
@kmb9624 Knight is a very good curve runner (she has been the leader in pretty much every 200m race @100m point) and she had a poor start in the final... in the end she lost pretty much nothing...
@susspuss I agree that Knight is quick. But, Anderson is quicker in 2011, 11.01 vs 11.22, than Knight & she ran a pretty decent anchor in the WC prelims.
Also, I've observed something 'bout Knight. Her arm movement rotates from side to side which one would imagine restricts her from obtaining maximum power from her arm technique. From a male perspective, it looks good to me. However, from an athletic viewpoint those tatas need a little reducing.
@susspuss Knight has been blessed with good genes to possess a great deal of muscle mass. Felix is just a great all around athlete. She said she ran with a lot of heart because she was tired. I have a funny feelin' that next year is going to be her year. I'm hopin' that she reduces her 10.93 100m PR and go low 10.8. That would translate into a 21.7 or better deuce for her.
@IOwnYouClown SAF gave JAM a little over a 2m lead,. Felix gained most of it back, especially on the exchange between her Myers. The BEST leg. AF was @ the end of her exchange zone. That's textbook relay running. Myers and CJ maintained their advantage through the tape and the USA wins. If one were to rely on PRs. The result should have been the reverse, or at least much closer. VCB recognized this fact as the disgust clearly shows on her face as that exchange with Simpson was terrible.
@kmb9624 I agree, Felix is a great relay runner. They won on the exchanges and Myers great leg. Cheater got closed on, she wasn't great, but Simpson was awful, her leg was slow and her exchanges were bad. She cost Jamaica a win.
@doinotna Leave me the fuck alone seriously. Jamaica lost and since they are so much genetically and naturally better they will whip the U.S. ass in London. I hope you feel better. Just leave me alone.
