I just got my JBA for my 99 tacoma and it sounds great. not too loud. JBA is just right. so hey does the headers and exhaust together add 22hp? i got an AEM intake earlier, and i think it adds like 5hp. and how much was the chip???

JBA claims 22 hp. I'd say it's pretty close. The chip was around $200

you can take off the cat converter and the sound will be louder. i took it off but the check engine light is on.the sound is great and i put a high flow air filter. but iam still missing the high flow muffler

Yeah I didn't want it to be too loud, But once the engine gets warmed up, the exhaust lets out a nice deep humming sound. It sounds a lot better driving it than it does idling of course.

I guess you're talking about the catalytic converter? The exhaust system requires the catalytic converter to remain.

If you were inquiring about the muffler, its just the JBA muffler that came with the exhaust kit, and it's a free-flow catback muffler.
