  • I am so glad I stumbled upon this! I hear you on driving a far distance to get the proper medical care. I live in town on the outskirts of Los Angeles and all the doctors in my town aren't very good so I have to drive out about 30 minutes to Cedar Sinai and its the best ever! Doctors that listen to you..who knew lol I cant wait to see how the rest of your pregnancy goes..and plz do a makeup tutorial about the look in this vid :]

  • I believe in brest feeding also i plan on doing that too.

  • I'm not from the US so I don't know, which is why I'm asking, but is it really that uncommon to be breastfeeding? Here majority breastfeeds fulltime for about 6 months, then babies begin with solids and are still breastfed for another 6months or so. Majority of those who did not breastfeed had to stop very early because they couldn't produce enough milk.

Some nurses make new mothers feel guilty if they dont breastfeed. And that's not good. Some just simply cannot produce enough milk... :(

  • omg ur so young and u have such sickness wow i think now i really dont want to have a baby i'm 23 and will get marry in 3 yrs

  • congratulatins erica xxx, i dont want to frighten you in any way.... but please dont take any kind of anti sickness type pills, although rare there is evidence to suggest that ur baby can develop SOD septo optic dysplasia., which is what have... as i say its rare like 1 in 50,000 but i just felt i had to say. i have been watching ur vids a long time i wish you both the absolute best sweety xxx

  • First of all, congrats!! I'm so happy for you! And i totally agree about the baby boom haha, like almost 1/3 of the high school people i went to school with are pregnant or had babies already. Lets just say there was around 900ish senors alone. =|

  • I totally agree with you about the baby boom! It's happening! I'm 22 and a lot of girls I went to high school with are either pregnant now, or have recently had their first child.

Congrats on the baby and good luck with breastfeeding!

  • I am so happy I stumbled across your youtube channel...I was wanting to know about mineral makeup and saw your vlog...I don't follow anyone or am I that into makeup...but I just love you...you're so sweet and I wish you all the best with your pregnancy!! :)

  • hey erica i want to say being a mommy is so awsume i have a 3 year old son and its amazing...... but the sad thing for me i ben trying to get pregnant for the past year and i cant im so sad and litterly this video mad me cry cause i miss being pregnant god bless you erica and i wish you the best......

  • Try sucking on lollipops for your morning sickness. It sounds crazy but it really does work for so many people. It did for me! And you really won't care who is delivering the baby when it's time, lol, I felt the same way too. And as far as breastfeeding, please stick to it for more than a couple weeks, it will be hard at first but it WIll get better. And it is the best thing ever! You will love it!!! Congrats and best of luck to you! P.S. I've been thru it 3 times, it will get better!

  • my teacher is preggo..and my 5th grade teacher is preggo too.and she is having her baby next month

  • Your so cute Erica

    Congrats and good luck :D

  • CONGRATULATIONS ERICA!

  • Breast feeding is a huge huge ummm commitment it's constant all the time I pumped for 3 months maybe 4 months and it is just constant so best wishes and good for you on your choice!! !! I think it is a boy and congrats!!

  • I know so many people who are pregnant! On the internet and IRL. Many people I graduated with are on their second! I haven't decided if I'm jealous or not. I also think that breastfeeding is really important and I don't know why so many women don't do it!

  • I know I would get sick when I was really tired..say like if I was shopping all day it would tired me out and make me sick!

  • congrats i have been soooooooooooooo exited about u getting pregnant so i am so happy i will pray 4 u

    love u lotts

  • Sending all my prayers for you and your baby!!!

  • my mom had the same problem with the morning sickness. Except is was like all day everyday. She threw up everyday while she was pregant. Congrats on the baby :]

  • I was super nauseous most of my pregnancy too. Almost nothing helped except cold air for some reason so it may help that you'll be pregnant through the fall and winter. And I breastfed it was cool so now you know one person in KY that breastfed...LOL

  • Congratulations!!! :0)

  • Congrats Erica! I'm so happy for you guys, congrats to your husband too! I'm 18 weeks and my husband can't wait to know what we're having! I'll keep you posted!

  • According to the chinese calender IT"S A BOY =) I used that calender when I planned my daughter =)

  • do you want to find out if it's a boy or a girl or are you going to wait until you deliver the baby?

  • it is a baby boom i know a lot of girls having babys both here on youtube and at home.

I agree with the male doctors...kinda weird. Breast feeding is a good idea I think.

  • can we see ur bump each vid? so we can see how much its grown? x congrats to you :) xx

  • Sure I think that is a good idea. I'll start next week and be doing a video every week so I'll include a pic of the bump at the beginning :D

  • Yay i love baby bumps :D i can't wait to have one of my own :) xx

  • I don't understand why you have an issue with male doctors? They see women's bits all the time!

  • Well, sometimes it still isn't comfortable!

  • They're doctors - c'mon!

It means nothing to them, it should mean nothing to you. By being embarrassed you're implying it's inappropriate, which is ridiculous.

I apologise in advance for being patronising but you're young and I'm sure you'll get over it as you get older.

Good luck with your pregnancy Erica

    x

  • haha I'm just really old fashioned and only want my husband to see my bits. So even if they see them all the time, they don't see mine hahaha It's kind of funny because everytime I go they say calm down, relax lol Cause I'm like eww get away in all my body language but I don't even mean to be haha

  • yeah but everyone's different, and some people don't like to expose themselves.

  • I would totally be the same way! I don't care if they see them all the time, it's still uncomfortable!

  • You'll soon get over that when there's a room full of male doctors delivering your baby!

  • i am so happy for you! you're going to be such an amazing mother! i'll be praying for everything to go smooth with you and the little peanut!

  • It gets better i practically lived in hospital when i was pregos with my son i couldnt hold nothin down till i was about 51/2 months along it was bad so there is light at the end of the dark tunnel, Congrats..

  • I know exactly how you feel I was way worse then u though ugh it was bad but im allergic to the phenagrin..

  • You are gonna be such a good mommy.. I am excited for you. When I was pregnant, I was so sensitive to smells.

  • i am so happy for u and ur husband!!!

  • You sound just like me! It's so hard. I have next to no appetite. Most smells make me so nauseous. Heat really makes nausea worse. I'm only 8 weeks with my second. I WISH I could be in bed. I have 13 month old boy! No rest for me. :(

The migraines are horrible. My midwife didn't mention the excedrine tension headaches. I need to ask about that b/c migraine +toddler = unbearable!

  • I have had the best luck with male docs during labor and delivery. And your awesome for breast feeding! It's the best thing you will ever do. My goal was 2 years with my kids, but they weaned early. I really loved it though. There is just no substitute physically, mentally, or emotionally for breast feeding. You'll be so glad you did it.

  • I'm really happy that you're going to be breastfeeding. You're so wise. Me, my brother and a whole lot of my cousins [and their kids] were breastfed. One of my aunts was even in a group for breastfeeding [La Leche League] and my mother used to pump and donate her extra milk to a charity that helped needy mothers and infants. So I am 100% for breastfeeding. I'm practically a cheerleader for it. LOL!

  • gah, i've been waiting all day for this vid!! ^__^

ugh, I hate mirgraines, I've had them since I was 3. I hope all goes well~

  • I wonder if the baby boom deal is just in KY. I have the same deal. Just about everyone I know is pregnant or has a newborn. I didnt get to mention in my last comment lol .. Because of a back surgery I cant get an epidural. I gotta go all Natural. Do you plan on doing the same? Or have ya decided on that yet? Just wondering whatcha thought about it.

  • Bless your heart on the morning sickness, I was and still am on phenagren and zofran. I had it bad like you, I couldnt get outta bed, and I was in the hospital twice with bad dehydration. But when I hit about 5-51/2 months it started getting alot better. So I hope the same for you! I know whatcha mean about the male Dr.s mine is Dr.Mechas .. its sooo weird lol but he really knows his stuff. Im so glad your gunna breastfeed, me too! I only know one person who did also. Again Congrats!!

  • Congrats! When i was pregnant, i couldnt stand Peach air freshner, or the smell of Bologna, or the touch of it and still cant to this day bc of it. I couldnt stand to smell any meat cooking, especially ground beef. i could only tolerate veggies and salads. and i couldnt drink any sodas or tea, only water, i craved water. i couldnt even smell or eat chicken noodle soup and still cant. good luck to you!

  • My morning sickness was so bad I couldent even hold down water. I ended up in hospital on IV's 2 different times for 10 days each. It got much better in the 2nd tri-mester. Also I found that organic gengerale helped the most with the heartburn.

  • FYI: I found out when I got pregnant...well it actually happened toward the end. Your gall stones get larger and you may need your gallbladder taken out after the baby is born. For some reason that happens to a lot of pregnant women. I had mine taken out about a month after I had my son.

  • That happened to my mother as well. Right after my brother was born [literally, like an hour or so after] they rushed her off to surgery to have it removed. She has a nasty scar from it that everyone thinks is from a botched cesarean, even though she delivered me and my brother vaginally.

  • Yeah, they do it different now...no big scars!

  • Yeah, hooray for advancements in medicine. [It was nearly 30 years ago when she had it done.]

  • Aw I know exactly how you are feeling. I thought everything smelled bad, my house, my husband, my dog,..me. I would come home and wash my coat EVERYDAY, it was once a dark blue. well it is now a grey. I couldnt anything except bread and cheese.. and it had to be homemade wheat bread..I love perfumes, but that was totally out of the question i was so desperate to get rid of a scent my husband brought home because it made me sick, I threw it across the street in an empty field.

  • The no breast feeding thing is weird. It's healthier and makes your baby more healthy to breastfeed. They aren't picky eaters either. I wasn't breastfed when I was a baby and I am the pickiest eater you will ever meet. :]

  • lol...Erica..i thought it was only me....a lot of people i know are having like babies..makes it seem like there's a baby boom..

  • Good for you on the breastfeeding! I think it's just the modern generation that makes it "taboo". My granny breastfed 13 out of 15 kids back in the day (last 2 were twins). Anyhoo, best wishes!

  • you know my sister knew she was pregnant the 2nd time cause she wanted to drink beer that is how she was in her 1st pregnancy.

  • hope she didn't actually drink it...

  • no she didn't drink it that when it click and went to get a pregnancy test.

  • hi erica!!!!!!!congrats on the baby!!!!! my mom is tryin now and things arent really workin out well just hopin you could pray for her!!! im excited for you!!babbys are precious!:)

  • Girl! Ask your Doctor for ZOFRAN. I had the worst morning sickness. It didn't matter day or not, all the time! To the point that I ended up in the ER. It was horrible, but the Zofran helped out a ton!!! It dissolves so if you're already throwing up, you don't have to worry about keeping a pill down. Btw, Congratulations!!!!!!

  • Hey sweetie i am so happy for you...!!! check this site (thebump) and look for the chinese gender chart, i did it for you and looks you might have a baby boy....!!! lots of hugs and best wishes

  • loved the u/s pic! aweee i miss my peanut being that tiny in there! lol I had a male Ob as well. I was iffy at first and wanna know the funny thing...well my first time they couldnt find the baby with a regular u/s so they hadda use a doppler (sp?) and go in there to show me my lil guy lol. what a first trip to the ob i had! lol...anywhoo...it got better, he even delivered my son and actually saved his life. And i actually got more comfortable as the appts kept coming! Anyways, Congrats again!

  • that's so werid that nobody breast feeds around you.

  • Aww yay Erica! You are going to be such an amazing mommy! Please keep us updated, I am trying to have a baby currently and it is sooo hard, so watching your mommy vids, kinda help me out. I am praying for you.

  • I never have any at all it's crazy.

  • Awh, well glad the symptoms are getting better! So are you just feeling really sick with the morning sickness, nausea, etc?

  • yay!!

  • sounds like you have a picky baby lol. Good luck with your pregnancy :)

  • Yay you unprivated it! I saw that you wrote on twitter.
