After reading "At The End of the Day", it explains why on the first tour why he doesn't move around a lot due to a monitor man who who not give him guitars in his monitor, and when he would move to side fills to hear them, the monitor man would turn them down, so he focused hard on the middle monitors. On the second tour he got in ear monitors and a new monitor man so his presence is much more mobile.

Blaze is more versatile than one can think. while bruce dickinson takes Blaze's era songs and convert to his style. Blaze did the opposite by taking Bruce's era songs and try to put his voice into Bruce's range.

I've been listening to Maiden since I was 7and I'm now 34 and I can say Blaze sucks. Not because Bruce was their longer but because his voice is droning and completly lacking in energy. Plus he has zero stage presence and insults the fans when they don't respond to him the way he'd like. X Factor and Virtual XI had good music but Blaze's voice makes the albums unbearable to listen too. At least Bruce saved 5 songs off of those two albums live.

Don't blame Blaze if you didn't like him with Maiden. They chose him. Honestly, if you were a vocalist and Iron fucking Maiden asked you if you wanted to be their new vocalist what would you do? I'm sure he didn't think he was the best, and probably wasn't too thrilled doing some of those earlier songs live but the rest of the band wanted to, also the fans didn't just want to hear X-Factor songs.

I think he's a decent singer, but not right at all for Iron Maiden. They originally wanted James LaBrie (a MUCH better fit than Blaze, and this was before he messed up his voice on the Awake tour), but James chose to stay with Dream Theater. I think they should've picked a power metal singer.
