  • What a great cover! R.I.P. Miss Etta!!! As I sit here with tears in my eyes - Miss Etta's music has been a part of my life ever since I was a teenager listening to WLAC Radio in Tennessee. I was weened on Etta. She spoiled me. This white girl bows to Miss Blues and Soul!!!

  • make god smile my lady

  • Thank you Miss Etta James.... RIP

  • RIP miss Etta James.

  • what a terrible loss today... This is a great Gov't Mule cover of this song, one of my favorites. RIP Ms. James, you will be missed by all.

  • amazing!

  • the sound of a Gibson through a Marshall

  • @jimbozjulz beautiful.

  • I believe Warren is one of the greatest guitarist ever. Not in the sense of technical prowess, rather, in that he can make any song his own - and do it justice..

  • @Asilazi

Absolutely man. Every time they cover something they always do an incredible justice to the original while somehow ALWAYS giving it that distinct mule kick. Musical sincerity.....

  • @SlyHobbit

I wonder what Duane Allman would have to say about Warren Haynes.

  • @Asilazi "yeah that kid can play"

  • that pretty much nails it...

  • you guys think this man can play the blues? (rhetorical question)

  • @theowen8

    He's pretty good I guess.

    :)

  • Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa also cover "I'd Rather Go Blind" on DON'T EXPLAIN. Not going to compare. They are both great versions.

  • HOT AND SEXY

  • warren always seems to capture the feel of any song he chooses to cover. not many people can do that.

  • I cant wait to see him in austin

  • This Man Has Never Bastardized any cover he has ever done ONLY LOVED AND ADDED TO A GREAT TRULY PROFOUND LYRIC

  • I cried when i heard Etta James do this song...But the Warren Haynes Version got me wet all over...WOW! NOW that is how to DO IT Warren.

  • Have seen Warren Haynes a few times, always a good show, w/Mule & Allman Brothers. *****

  • I love this so much!

  • We need Mule-2011

  • Awesome Version, Thank-You :)

  • Wow, hopefully Warren adds this song to the Warren Haynes Band setlist. Checked around the usual setlist sites and didn't find any mention of a guest on this song so that must be Danny Louis doing a great job on trumpet.

  • Thank you, just love Gov't Mule, Warren Haynes has such a soulful voice,

  • Very Nice!
