  • that was freakn sweet

  • Urm.. If you drag the gradient to half of the "button" before clicking CTRL+D instead of all the way to the bottom and then deselect it and blur it using the blur tool I find it looks more like a glossy button.... But yeah I wouldn't have realised that without this tut so thanks :)

If you find it looks better too then like this comment so others can see.

  • A simple step to add to this would be after it is all done run the blur tool along the edges of the gloss layer. Really smooths things out. Great tutorials BTW

  • I don't use the line tool in this tut.

  • @TouchMyWeenis I would want to use line tool for other glossy things other than just buttons.

  • @TouchMyWeenis LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • nice tutorial, i had to have a few goes but eventually i got it, would be nice if you could reposition the annotations because sometimes it gets in the way of being able to see what is happening

  • Excellent tutorial. I've been using 3dsmax and after effects for almost 2 yrs now. I always wanted to learn photoshop and your tutorials are definitely helpful.
