  • Always my preferred of them all. Ricky's voice will live on forever !

  • Sounds so much better than my old, beat up 45. Like hearing it for the 1st time.

  • but we all must be thankful that Rick's dad, Ozzie, almost certainly suggested such 'oldies' - such a classic song. Not forgetting Jimmy Haskell's arrangement.

  • Its amazing how it takes you back , the music then Wow its great

  • when music had that magic ingredient

  • Great song, so lovely. The "Lettermen" sang a very beautiful version too.

  • I just have to come "home" AGAIN just to listen to Ricky .

Once in a while I come back to enjoy the most beautifull and romantic voice of my youth. Ricky Nelson my idol !

  • Sim...Há coisas que só acontecem uma vez em nossa existência e "duram o tempo suficiente para tornarem-se inesquecíveis"...

  • GREAT SONG. I LOVE IT !!!!

  • Thanks for the post.

  • sorry for the typo : should be GRATITUDE and not GRARITUDE.

  • Please accept my profound graritude for uploading one of these great oldies that recaptures one's youth brought out thru music by once dubbed as 'The Teenage Idol" Ricky Nelson.

  • @felixbautista My pleasure, and thanks.

  • We looked up to Rick and aspired to be like this clean-cut, wholesome kid. His music brings back great memories of simple, uncluttered times. Thanks for the posting. BklynBoy

  • @Munchenette My pleasure, and thanks for the comment.

  • I never tire of listening to this song.

It is a sentimental tune and Ricky excels in singing it romantically.

I have told so many friends to come to this site and listen to his interpretation of this most beautifull 1949 meody.

Few of his fans ever heard Ricky sing this song !.

    R.I.P. you bautiful person !

  • Thanks for the comment, and thanks for the recommendation. Definately my favourite interpretation.

  • Rick Nelson is unforgetable.

    I still idolize him...R.I.P. !

All his songs bring back memories of my happy teen years . This song in particular is very special and makes me feel emotional in a nostalgic way..

  • I can hear why.

  • I always love the voice of Ricky Nelson.....very nice version.......Frankie Avalon has his own version, too. I often heard this song when I was 14....

  • wonderful!!!

  • Great performance by a great singer of this 1949 classic. This song was a big hit in that year for Doris Day and remained popular throughout the Korean War (1950-53).

  • I didn't know that, thanks.

  • Thanks for the post.

  • Thanks for listening.

  • Another beautiful love song from my heart throb of well over fifty years. He was so beautiful, his voice was beautiful, how tragic that he is no longer with us. I'll never forget him and will always love him.

Too bad he didn't get the appreciation that should have been his due. He was a true artist in every sense of the word.

  • A true great, always one my favourite artists. I've added an easy-click stereo link.

I so agree with everything that you said. I too have loved Ricky for so long. When that awful crowd treated him so badley, that just about crushed him. I just hope that he knows how many people still love and appreciate him, and his beautiful voice.

  • Love this song brings back memories of my teenage days.

    thanks for post........

  • Thanks. Does the same for me, but in the 1970s!
