  • Lennon, shunning the Revolution of American Youth. Maybe not so much shunning it, as perceiving its limitations..."you tell me that it's institution, you better free your minds instead."

Brilliant, and no truer words have been spoken. The very same of which he speaks are now 40 years later, mega-greedy, American sluts...an embodiment of the "institution." Lennon à ses plus brillants

  • Hello I see other bands playing this song in B here you see the Beatles playing in A this is the best key for this song I think

  • It's the best version.I think.

  • 0:18 JOHNS MIC'S SH*T! says george

  • The singing is live. Guitars are also live, but playing along with a prerecorded track of guitars and Billy Preston's electric piano.

  • @mrjoepad1 afraid no guitars are live, george is playing completely random chords meanwhile johns guitar is not feedbacking at all, something the epiphone casino always did

  • i love how Paul brings back the Hofner for this video

  • Time is of the essence!!! Live and let Die

  • This video does NOT appear to be completely LIVE??

Wish we knew the real truth about how it was made????

  • Where's Billy Preston playing the electric piano/solo? Other than the new background vocals, which they seem to be lip-synching to [pre-recorded additions], every track is from the studio recording. Near the end of the piano solo [played by someone who's not there] you can hear some lead guitar riffs - if you look at both guitar players, neither one is playing what you hear. Pre-recorded tracks - not live. Fantastic never the less, to see them making a video to represent the song. NOT LIVE.

  • @michaelhintongtr Absolutely correct. Not a "true" live performance for sure, though I do think they were "mike'd up" to add to the pre-recorded tracks. For instance, I think much of John's lyrics are live, as are "some" of the "Shoo-be-do-wop" adds by Paul and George. Great just to see them "performing" again, if that's the closest we could get at the time. Of course, the last "REAL" live recordings as a group, were on the Apple studios rooftop, filmed for the "Let it Be" movie.

  • George Harrison looks the same

  • defense of our lives when the military machinery of the House of Rothschild rolls in is not a revolution, it's just basic survival. if you want to spend time in a FEMA camp and probably die in a FEMA camp, don't resist.

  • Someone who was there...And whom might that be? Please be certain you will be answering a well-read Beatle aficionado . And what monitor? I've scanned for "monitors" and other than the stage amps I see nothing.

  • Why is there an alright after John has moved away from the mike? It sure didn't seem lip-synced until that point.

  • I talked to someone who was there and he understood George's comment was regarding John's monitor.

  • At 0:19 George says, "John's monitor's shite"

  • @GODisNonProphet John's mic is shit

  • Greatest band in rock 'n roll history. This is why! Rock on! ... FoJ

  • >D =D
