  • I think there should be a Fourth Doctor audio drama of when he and Romana are trapped in the Time Vortex. It could explain what they did and if they faced any dangers in it themselves.

  • @gothamcity29 You know, that would be an awesome idea. BBC should really consider doing something like that. That way, it would give the two of them some sort of element to the plot.

  • Had this on vhs years ago - but with a black triangel kidnapping them instead...

i really hate this "new" effect...

they allso changed some bits with Tom Baker

  • 2 11 bowties are cool

  • I love the second doctor's running in the beginning ^^

  • I feel like a teenager again. ;) But they changed the graphic, didn't they? I thought the "scoop" was a sort of flat geometric thing. Actually showed the Docs and companions caught in it.

  • 1:50 Russel nicked this idea for "The Christmas Invasion" FACT

  • Great balls of fire!

  • jon pertwee my doctor the best.

  • I first saw this in 1984 or 85 and Davison was the only doctor I'd seen before. It was quite entertain and tantalizing at the same time. Patrick Troughton caught my eye and remains my favorite doctor to this day.

  • I heard that they may make another five doctors in the future.........Current docs.....Tennent,Smith,Mccoy(YES! HES RETURNING!),Mcgan(Eight doc),and nineth doc actor.............I can see how that will happen......

  • @TorterraMan3000 Oh lord that'd be lovely. I'd love to see McGann again around. :°D

  • They need to bring back Bessie in the new series!!!

  • Best show EVAR!

  • Cool fur coat.

  • "Great balls of fire!" <3 Jon

  • i prefered the original fx for the timescoop, the one where a triangle falls down onto them and you see a picture of the doctor in it as it flys away

  • My favourite 1 is the 3rd doctors kidnapping! LOl

  • God fobid one of they're heads should pass infront of the triangle. The budget then wouldn't take it.

  • the doctor were having a nice relaxing day without run for the tarids or any ailins trying to kill them........then suddenly they are ATTCED BY A TRIANGLE!!!!!!!! lol

  • DARN THOSE TRIANGLES!!

  • Naughty BBC spelling the Doctors name incorrectly >:(

  • its missing the 1st dr

  • He's got better Doctor Who action figures than me...

  • same :)

  • ha ha! "Great Balls of Fire!"

  • i thought that matt wasn't a doctor because that man was jack laike not the actual doctor or does he later somehow merge into timelord genes.

  • Ok,someone explain this one to me...the movie was called "The FIVE Doctors"..but since Tom Baker's Doctor wasn't in it(at least other than a supposed cameo),shouldn't it be called "The FOUR Doctors"instead?

  • The only reason Tom wasn't in it, is because he didn't want to, they had to scrap him from the script. And it was a special episode to celebrate 20 years doctor who. Would be a bit stupid to call it 'The 4 Doctor, wouldn't it?

  • @konokitsune They used some deleted scene footage of him and then made the Triangle thingy come down and snatch him, then pretended he was locked up in status for the rest of the episode. I heard that he was a bit of a spoilsport about it, that's why he's not acting in it - Never liked the idea of sharing the limelight with anyone, let alone people playing HIS part!

  • @MoPictures it was actually because he felt he hadn't been away from the role for very long. he left in about 1981, and this was aired in 1983.

  • @MoPictures tom baker says he regretted turning it down now

  • this is from a special addition DVD

  • This is not entirely the original. The triangles that snatch them away are different. They look chromish here. In the original, which I saw on the Sci-Fi Channel in the early 90s that kicked off their daily "Doctor Who hour," the triangles were solid black.

  • and Then???????

  • GREAT BALLS OF FIRE! lol

  • Everything's quite alright... -falls-

    Lol

  • It's Peter DAVISON not Davidson. Tut tut BBC.

  • wow...sci-fi has come a long way

  • I know that Davidson appeared in the "Time Crash", I love that mini-episode :)

It's great to hear about McGann. I didn't like the movie, but I liked him as the Doctor. He definately deserves more screen time.

  • There should be a doctor who episode where the 10th doctor goes back in time and witnesses the 8th doctor regenerate into the 9th doctor.

  • You're wish may be granted halfway... at least in regards to 9, 8 and 10 coming into contact with one another...Before Tennant officially leaves Doctor Who, all eleven regenerations (yes eleven - as Matt Smith will also be included in the fun) are going to have an adventure together--Hartnell, Troughton and Pertwee being added in from clips of their previous adventures.

It would be interesting to see 8 regenerate into 9 though, who knows the they might include it. :-)

  • That sounds good.

  • how do you know?

  • Sadly I do not know for sure, thus my saying 'may be granted.' There has yet to be an confirmation by the BBC so at present it is technically a speculation released by a few news sources. I do hope it happens, I would love to see all the Doctors together.

  • Remember the Episode Rose? The Doctor looks into a mirror and inspects his face for the first time.

Also, Paul McGann looks nothing like he did back then.

  • um yes he does.

  • @dinoballz It doesn't matter if he's older. The Doctor can age. We never saw the 8th Doctor regenerate into the 9th, so he may well have lived a long old life (Not to mention fought in the Time War!) and so he can come back looking like whatever he wants to look like. It'll still be him. I personally would be happy to see him stand shoulder to shoulder. His performance set a trend for the future Docs, the youth, vitality and romantic angle at least.

  • All actors who played the Doctor from his sixth to his tenth incarnation are still alive. They should make a "The Other Five Doctors" episode while they still can.

Two main actors from "Quantum Leap" are alive as well, why don't they at least try to make a new series? Or a movie?

  • Actually all actors from the fourth to tenth are alive. Davidson even appeared in a small special called Time Crash alongside Tennant. I agree with you, they need to do a special. There are rumors that McGann [8] might be returning for one of the 2009 specials. Maybe he'll finally get some more of that screen time instead of his audio dramas.

  • Apparently, 4 - 10 may be appearing in a children in need special

  • brilliant stuff!!

  • The doctors have been kidnapped by the Hogwarts sorting hat!

  • Hilarious! :-D

  • where are the kidnapping scenes of the first and fourth doctor? And how did they do that tornado thingy, particularly since CGI wasn't even that advanced then.

  • - They don't seem to have included those two in this clip.

    - This is from the 1995 edit, where some CGI effects and one or two other things about the episode were tweaked.

  • so... where is the first and 4th? I know they have a kidnapping scene...

  • great balls of fire! lmao

  • I really got a kick when the Doctor was reminiscing about the future.

  • This was one of my favorite episodes. It seems to be digatally remastered, because I remember the traiange not being so 3D

  • What episode is america on now of the new series?

    cos in england there finished

I want to see more XD

  • we've got one more episode left. it's actually on tomorrow, though it's 12AM at the moment so i guess it's today...

  • Doctor Who is really the many faces of mahamed.PBUH.

  • The music is what really made this story what it is. I really miss the classic series.... I wish they would bring back the fourth Doctor. Either him or the seventh Doctor...

  • hes gotta be too old now dont you think? the classics are good but the new series just feels so more "fresh" thats what it makes it a bit more excitin i think

  • My apologies , He's not.

  • I used to watch Doctor Who when I was a kid.I loved it.I watch the new Doctor Who on the Sci-fi channel.I love the new one. They have so many new special effects. And the guys paying Doctor Who are so cute.

  • Ooooh.. extra bits and new effects!

  • Tom Baker was the Doctor for a long time and had only just left, so he thought it was too soon to return. And his presence might have overshadowed Peter Davison. And Peter rocked so its only right that he got to shine

  • LOL this look pretty funny xD

  • the 6th comment

  • Tegan... is..... hot....

  • I once heard this described or re-titled "Three Doctors, One Re-Cast and a bit of Archive Film"!!!!

  • they need to do something now with all 10 Doctors. That would be awesome. Although I don't know how many of them are still alive but with the billions of people in this world Im sure they can find look a likes. Woohoo 2nd comment.

  • This is from The Five Doctors. For the record, it wasn't William Hartnell in this show. He died at least 10 years before this episode. The actor they got to play his role was William Hurndell who looked a fair amount like him. What would have made this episode better is if Tom Baker had chosen to participate. He later said he regrets not having done it. His portion was taken from an unaired episode. It would've been cool if they got Peter Cushing too. He wasn't in the show but the two movies.

  • i agree it would have made the episode even better

  • actually his name was richard hurndell
