bought one in black and it's a really great bike. I had a bandit 600 which was great but I really prefer this one. I use it riding in to london every day and it feels lite and nimble. It is a buzz to ride.
I have a Ducati Monster, because I could afford it. Even though the Gladius could be labeled a "wanna-be Monster", I'd say it could be a excellent and fun bike for many people out there who want this naked style motorcycle without having to pay alot. and that obviously is what Suzuki figures also.
Very Detailed bike The only Reason Why We Don't Have So Much Sport Bikes In America People Are Scared of them and People Don't Know How To Drive lol Which Is a Lame excuses but basically who knows lol
But Truthfully We don't have much sports bike because of the market of the u.s is scared of them basically in a way
@BoldMorin I don't understand. In the US you can go straight to a dealership and buy any bike you want with no restrictions. Thru out many parts of EU, Asia (especially india) you have c.c. displacement and rider experience restrictions; not to mention differing emission restrictions. Americans arnt afraid; although I think more should be :); they just have different tastes than the rest of the world (like naked bike preference in EU over US). Could you explain what sport bikes US is afraid of?
You get more bike for your money, the only make I have heard top this bike for it`s cc class is a triumph and it costs about four thousand pounds more. As for the critics the only ones I have come across have not even rode the bike, umm bit of bike envy maybe. Not me I went out and bought one and still smiling.
Its true, the sport naked market in the U.S. is limited, but if you're an American who likes tons of sport value in a unique package, the new trellis framed gladius is a great option. I own one and i love it.
well, the gladius is claimed to be approx 74 hp with about 50 ft lb of tourque, and your bandit has 80 hp with 47 ft lbs of tourque. of course the 600 inline four cylindar bandit hits max power at about 10.500 rpm so i think if you rode a gladius you would enjoy the nice flat tourque curve and broad power band, but its not technically much more powerful. I'm not sure if they are still produced, but suzuki made/makes a SV1000cc twin which would be the muscular twin cylindar to have.
This bike is just awesome!!

Well, if you can afford the regularly visit to the workshop, it's probably a nice ride.

I agree, Black on black looks the best on this bike. I really like the SV650 engine. The bike looks very Ducati-like. Thats a good thing.

Yeah, a Triumph 675 of any variety is a sweet bike. Wish I could afford one, plus dealer support in the US for Triumph isn't always the best
