  • Are the lines he's saying from a movie?

  • LOL

  • that bird has an Australian accent. I love it!!!!

  • Five people are naughty boys

  • "Oh booger!" xD

  • Huxley - Island

  • Mynahs are lovely, the only thing that puts me off is that they learn all of there vocabulary within the 1st year of there life then all they do is repeat it,i bought 1 from someone and all it ever done was imitate a bloomin boiler firing up,cos thats where it had been kept, next to the boiler for the 1st year of its life, and yes they are noisy, but i still loved him to bits.

  • are they loud in the mornings? will they disturb neighbours thanks

  • y the hell does it have a deep vioce like that? that is very creepy. imagine that bird asking you. what are you doing?

  • Question: "What's your name?"

    Answer: "Naughty Boy!"

  • I feel kind of dirty now.

  • so human-realistic. sometimes sounds scary lol

  • @AKVAEL

Crows and ravens are probably the best talking birds in that regard, probably because they have the largest vocal sacs.

  • a just got a 3 week old Hill Mayna, named him "Joe" just after watching this video.

hope he'll be fluent like this one day. ^_^

  • oh my godness

    what are you doing?!

  • Awesome, it really talks with a british accent

  • wow this is so cool! Love the accent:)

  • Did he say 'Oh, bugger!' at 0:15?!? LOL

  • my grand mother had one it really learns fast his name is william

  • thats epic

  • This bird is just amazing. I love this video. "Oh my goodness!" LOL. I do agree that Mynah birds are much better at talking than parrots. I have an African Grey and she's starting to talk, and in general an African Grey's speech is not as clear as a Mynah's.

  • these have allways been better than parrots at mimicking voices, their precision is just better and voice is clearer

  • how old was he in his video?

  • That's exactly what my Brummie Boyfriend sounds like!

  • Id rather have an english gentleman mynah than a really good dog...

  • I want one.

  • hahahahaha legend!!!!!!! :D

  • They are amazing mimics, those mynahs. I am just a tad concerned at what he's saying, though. "Oh my goodness!" "Naughty boy" "What ARE you doing?" Why such negative sounding things?

  • He's so funny, he's so clever! Anna & Neil :)

  • mynas are realllly pricey up to 15,000 bucks at times depending on the type

  • ohhhh my goodness!

  • how much would this be in the UK?

  • he is great

  • My mom and I love this video--we lost place of it for a while, but she just found it again.

    **adds to favorites**

  • I had a mynah, he could only say one word and that was "burglar". He escaped one day when I was feeding him. You have to get them young as older ones may never speak.

  • hehehhehe. Very funny. and well done.

  • i think someone is sounding

  • COOL i am getting 1 of this

  • OH MY GOODNESS! that's awesome!

  • Ha ha so funny!! You have to be very careful what you say around these birds ;)

  • oh myyyy goodness :'D

  • where can i get one????

  • @ABBAfanMASS OMG,this bird in china only 120 $

  • he he, 'oh buggar' in pommy accent

  • @nickynoo75 Thank you for clearing that up. I thought it was saying, "Oh, booger".

  • LOL pretty cute and impressive, although indian mynas are a big problem in Australia, killin and competing with native animals, but still, cool a impressive and they're hard to train.

    naaaughhhhttyyyyy boooyyyyy

  • Love it.... that is awsome!!!!

  • mindblowing.

  • He talks very very good, impressive!!!

  • You can find alot flying around in hawaii haha

  • Are mynah birds still legal to own? I thought they were a protected species now!

  • @xshineythingsx

    protected prospected

our people have been eating these for years you hippie

  • @pick8lock I'm not a hippie at all thanks. Was asking a simple question. Prick.

  • how many months does this bird able to talk?

  • Oh Booger. LOL !!!! That was killer !!!!

  • @TGCCJ It's actually bugger but you know.

  • hahahahaha aweeeeeeeeeesome! :D reminds me of mine I had in Iran hahah he spoke pashto he was imported from afghanistan hahahahha

  • Do they drop and pick up new dialog easily?

  • appently they smell bad

  • omg I couldn't handle myself but laugh at the first few words he said sos cute.

Unlike other birds, mynahs actually also copy the tone and voice of their owners so from each talking mynah there is a different tone, and it also gives us a clue how the owners voice sounds like =D I own a prrot though haha, but I want a mynah, such a sweet yet sensetive bird.

  • sounfs a bit like dustin hoffman

  • absolutely adorable!Bird---I Love You!

  • It sounds like SATAN

  • @koopoo2000 That was a funny comment LOL

    i was thinking the same...

  • Almost looks fake lol.

  • oh my goodness

  • He has a deep voice! I love mynahs.

  • wwaahhh waaahhh :D

  • Sounds like Bertie Wooster!!

  • Oh Booger! Hilarious

  • lmao. Nnnnauty boy

  • sounds like an aussie accent. lol

  • Animal enjaulado! que absurdo!

  • Its almost as if they can speak so well, that they develop an accent. My grandparents had one, and being very Creole/Cajun, the bird would often sound french.

  • @damaster77854 Well, that makes sense because they imitate the sounds they hear.

  • How much are these birds? I would love one as a pet :)

  • he has an accent!!!!!! :)

  • wow, it talks really clearly its almost scary....

  • Does this mynah bird have an english accent? hahaha

  • ohhhhh my goodness!!! naughty boy!!!

  • First five seconds is what I was saying the entire video

  • lovely english gentleman voice

  • I do not know if people realize this but mynahs and even magpies can speak more clearly than parrots do.

  • is that a recording in the background hes copying

  • NAUGHTY boy!

  • nice British accent

  • "Oh bugger!"

  • I've always wanted one of these birds. Absolutely beautiful and fascinating!

  • what tipe of bird is this one???

  • mynah

  • @jeru125 mynah, lol

  • Try looking up the bird online for more info.

  • @jeru125 I believe this is a Greater Indian Hill Mynah.

  • That's awesome. Are they illegal now in NY/CT? I remember as a kid they had one in the pet store and I really wanted one

  • @jbilotta You can check the game commission in your state and they can tell you what pet or aviary birds are illegal in your state. Most have a website. Just google it. :)

  • I'll check... cool:) I'll teach it to say everything people don't on command, ha.

  • @ihurtedmypeepee hideous? They're cute as hell!

  • the mynah bird is from philippines am i right??

  • This species is from India, the Phillippines, and other forested, hilly places in Southeast Asia. There are several races of them.

  • They are amazing - much better talkers than parrots. But the advice below about how difficult they are to keep is well-made.

  • how mutch can give you for that bird

  • myna book at petstore rack read a few minutes:

Be careful what they can hear, imitate everything: toilet flushing, lawnmowers.

Messy wet droppings. Not dry like parrots. Because diet: grapes, fruit. So, homemade solid cage bottom with sliding drawer bottom, and glass sides recommended.

They don't live forever like a parrot does, no long commitments.

They aren't loving like parrots, which is good thing or bad: easy to ignore a few days without feeling guilty, but not as endearing...

  • Fantastic!!

  • It sounds like a human! wow! I want one!

  • same i want one too

  • this bird is amazing can i borrow Banjo!?

  • Cool bird ,I have a blue and gold Macaw

Talks, but not as good as this one....:)

  • who is a naughty boy:::)))superb and very clear...I have a african grey and looks like her voice.:))

  • What does he say after Naughty Boy?

  • at 0:17 ?

    Oh Bugger!

  • i love this bird! hahah!

  • So these birds imitates on the spot, they don't have to be taught by repetition ?

  • oh my goodness is so clar

  • i think its pitch more loud and accurate then other parrots..as well as its not quite expensive as parrrot

  • The best fakers are the lyrebords by far. But I prefer the Mynah, it looks funny, smart and sociable ;-)

  • that is true, but parrots are a lot smarter... they can only speak words from3-4 syllables..

  • This bird is saying more than 3-4 syllables together. It doesn't matter if they're separated by words. He's saying phrases.

  • did you say as OTHER parrots? You do realize that Mynars are not part of the parrot family at all!

  • He speaks with human clarity. A++++

  • I'm dating myself, but I remember on the old 'Captain Kangaroo' show they had a mina named 'Captain Flint' who said 'Whatsamatta?" with a Brooklyn accent!

  • and with a yorkshire accent!!! sooo funnny

  • Brilliant! Please post more!

  • funny bird and smart

  • I've read that birds and other animals have perfect pitch. This explains why birds of the same species all sound identical when it comes to singing and attracting mate. Play around with the pitches, and they won't recognize their own song. This is unlike humans, who have the ability to recognize transposed pitches (known as relative pitch).

Another bird that excels in micmicking is the lyre bird.

  • Couldn't believe this when I saw it. I heard that Minah birds can mimic, but had no idea how good they are.

  • Its so cool the way they mimic anything instead of learning phrases like parrots lol

  • I think that's amazing, it mimics sounds better than a human! :D

  • i got a abandoned mynah yesterday..its very small.i am trying to teach it to talk

  • @tribeni18 is it there with u now ?

  • @joetube1988 no sadly banjo passed away a few years ago, he was attacked by a sparrow hawk.

  • I had a myna bird when I was a child. One thing it would do was yell "Help! Help! Let me out!" Very smart birds, but not as cute as Budgies.

  • nnnnnnnnnnnaughty boy

  • noughty boy lol

  • yes! a fackin cockney!

  • how much is one of these birds?

  • @irmalovesdancing

ALOT! atleast in the US... I saw one yesterday at a pet store... they wanted $700 for it.

  • @irmalovesdancing

you do know they are endangered right? adopting one isn't right for the earth >__>

  • @tenedria NO, they are not endangered. But the forests they inhabit are under pressure from logging.

  • i have 2 of em'

  • Wah! wah! wah! XD

  • ofcourse not! you need to train them.

i have a myna bird but it still doesnt talk becouse its still a baby

  • so like, the bird doesn't need to practice or anything?

    it just does it?

  • Lmao he's so sophiscated!

  • Mynah birds are cool. I own a sun conure, and man I wish my bird could talk like Banjo.

  • Is it really talking?

  • Sounds Australian to me. XD Cool.

    "Wah wah wah!" lol

  • australian?? psst

  • where can u purchase a myna bird? Id love to own one!!!

    What an amazing bird! :)

  • I would love to have one of these birds but I can't find a breeder

  • That bird almost sounds like it has a fake English accent thats cool

  • this is my friends bird. We live in England

    p.s Banjo passed away

  • you know how to make ur mynah talk?

    feed them some jalapenos

  • our mynah just whistles all the time lol

  • Love that accent! "Oh bugger!" best imitation ever.

  • I think Mynahs are supposed to be the smartest of all talking birds.

  • No, crows are atop the IQ table for birds. Besides, this is only copying something, African Grey Parrots like Alex, Einstein, and N'Kisi are able to understand concepts of the English language, and N'Kisi is believed to effectively be able to use wordplay and sarcasm among various other emotions. Alex is currently believed to be the smartest bird to live but died at the age of 31, whereas N'Kisi is currently 4, so is likely to become smarter.

  • Actually, I don't know if they are the smartest of all talking birds but they are the best mimics.

  • I think African Grey Parrots are the smartest.

  • how Much are myna Birds???? I want one!!

  • Brilliant

  • Wow!!!!!!!!

  • your bird has a british accent

  • looooool

  • its in England

  • what sort of myna is this
