  • @systemofa20

during the acoustic set the next day, my buddy yelled out that he looked like him.. he looked less than thrilled, haha. his name is zach galifinakis btw.

  • haha, that's awesome!why do they always switch drummers? it's him and a couple other guys i always see. i'm seeing portugal in march :]

  • The other guy is Garrett Lunceford, he replaced Jason Seachrist for a short period of time while Jason was busy with other personal things, but Jason is back as their drummer now, and it will stay that way.

  • This show was so bloody good. I was straight groovin'. Great act.

  • wish i could have gone to this show.....well to this festival did anyone get to hangout with John and the gang

  • i did!!!! the second day before their acoustic set, they came out early and hung out with the fans. super cool guys!

  • The guys I was with got their toy piano signed by them and chatted with them for a bit. I was a bit late getting to their second (acoustic) set to hang out with them though. Shit sucks

  • @iamabomination2

I saw that happen! That's how we figured out they were in the band. Between these two sets, this band provided the best festival experience I've ever ever had.

  • I was there

  • i love your bonnaroo videos so much.

  • one of thier best performances

    soo badass!

  • John Gourley you sly devil you! You can really whale/ we should guitar battle. I swear I'm shittier then Thomas Erak.

  • I was right in the front on the railing!!! Such an amazing show. Hands down best performance at Bonnaroo 2009!!

  • One is the loneliest number....amazing!!!!!!

  • MORE MO MO!

  • Yeah, I had never heard these guys before this set. Was my Bonnaroo opener and I absolutely loved it. I'm not sure I appreciated how special it really was after hearing from you guys who are prior fans. I'm a fan now and will be looking for Portugal. The Man in a town near me :-) This night was amazing! The Low Anthem followed Portugal. The Man and they were fantastic as well. Zac Brown Band impressed me too.

  • this was my favorite performance of the roo.....maybe because this showed kicked off the event, maybe it was from the drugs, or maybe it was because PTM kicks ass..... maybe a combination of the three

  • my 8th time seeing them. they're always confident when they play live but this show was special. the jaming was unbelievable. john's guitar and vocal skills seemed to have really improved.

  • Portugal. absolutely owned this set, they blew so many minds, including mine. I'll be catching them live again soon I hope. I have their albums but this just killed. Great vid.

  • Yeah. More!!!! I won't this whole thing, like the dude who posted The Mars Volta joint. I was here. My first Bonnaroo show ever and these guys killed it, birthed me :-)

  • This is amazing. Thank you! Did you get anything of the Portugal. The Man show?

  • Sorry PeaceLoveEquality, but what do you think this is? Not meaning to be an ass. I love you.

  • Hahaa oh shoot. I meant to write 'did you get anything more from the Portugal. The Man show?' My mistake. I love you too.

  • I hope someone did bro. I love this shit. Wanna relive it.

  • I know. I wish I was there... After that review from the WSJ, I almost died. They're beautiful.

  • What review from the WSJ? What is that?
