Many of us can read the manual to find out how to do things but that takes too much time when you work and have other stuff to do. Thank you for being kind enough to show people hands-on how to do this. I can't speak for anyone else but I'd rather see it done and follow along, then just read it. If I have the option to.

In the end you compress to H264 with 800 kbs? or 300 ?

H.264 works great. Depending upon how long your clip is you can choose 800kbs for better quality or 300 if you clip is longer. You should be trying to keep your clip file under 1GB. So bigger file size is better quality.

I was told the only way to have videos over the 10 min/100 MB is if you have an old director's account, don't know how true that is but that is what I have heard.

Youtube USED to let you upload longer videos. Those early adapters got to and still can upload longer clips. I went with google video guess i picked wrong.

I am having trouble with the audio not being on the video once I capture it and then save it. after I save the file and try to pull it up again in final cut there is no audio

Check out 1:30 in the clip above. See how it says AUDIO and VIDEO. IF yours does NOT say that you are missing a step in your export to self contained quicktime file.

If you mean export from final cut. Yes just export as self contained movie. You can select export with compressor and go straight to the compressor screen but then you would not have a good master.

If you have a lot of room on your hard drive you can save as a apple-jpeg.

but self contained Quicktime works for most.
