I have so many happy memories of Worthing Pier. We used to travel from west London to Worthing several times a year for family outings and no trip was complete without a walk along the pier and a visit to the amusement arcade to see the "monkeys". This was a cabinet with about ten small automaton monkeys dressed in waistcoats with musical instruments. Put a coin in the slot and they "came to life" and played music for a couple of minutes. I was amazed when I revisited a couple of years ago
Many thanks for your interesting comment
