Butterflies are my 2nd favorite creatures (1st is cats). I collect them. ^^ Well, not real ones, obviously. I've helped the odd butterly here and there. Something that can be so beautiful, just as it's born... They should be treated as gods.

I found a beautiful butterfly on the ground today, poor thing was flapping it's wings but unable to fly. I googled "how to help a butterfly" & came up with only 1 hit that read "I should put it in a box with a plant & water." I did that & included a little organic soil & sacrificed a flower which I pulled from the garden bush. I don't expect it live but I just couldn't leave it exposed to the ants & elements. I guess you think I'm bonkers, maybe I am, but I sure hope it lives & flies away.

I stood by a flowering bush & gently bent the flower into the box so that the butterfly could drink it's nectar. Regrettably, the butterfly died on the 4th day. I hope it somehow knew I did all I could to keep it safe & how much it was loved.

Also the honey bee...is getting very ill too and decreasing in population...Scientists are trying to make pollonation by using workers to do it..but it is costly and time consumming.God made them for us..to pollinate the flowers...and the bees...the flowers and fruit trees too...They are our servants...and we must treat them with respect.

My sister's symbol was the butterfly--she passed away from cancer last year. So like a butterfly, she is finally free--that is what I thought of when I saw the clip on the butterfly trying to get out.
