This zone is by far my favorite when it comes to appearence... like alot of games have you fight and quest in snowy areas ....but in this zone it snows alot LIKE IT SHOULD.....plus the weather effects in aion are superb. Only wish the snow could accumulate and build up in twilight and at night then at day start melting away....taht would be the best.

I played the beta last week end phase 5 and i m also a WOW player. Believe me, Aion is very attractive to me and i m sure i m gonna stop WOW. First, i like the musics,the environment, arms and flying at level 10.

No it isnt, you need a monthly subscription. Stupid Ncsoft, they published Guild Wars which is free to play, but thats the only MMO thats free to play that they put their name on. Lineage 1 and 2 is PtP, and so is this :/
This PtP is based differently, instead of paying a monthly subscription you pay for how long you want to play. Say you spend money for about two months, that's two months of in game time. You have to actually be playing for your time to go down.

People will constantly compare everything to WoW... especially people who have ONLY played WoW. It's successful, and there's a reason for that. Lot's of people play it, and it's a good game. WoW is actually a clone of the very old dungeons and dragons rpg boardgames with dungeon masters and whatnot. If you've ever read a DnD book you can see that they even copy the skill names and stuff. WoW is fun to play and hard to find any game as addicting as WoW. But WoW is not perfect. And just because Aion has frozen landscape doesn't mean it's a WotLK copy, seeing as Aion has been in the making for years. The gameplay of Aion is nothing like WoW, it is an improvement of Lineage 2.

In all honesty I believe this game is more enjoyable than WoW, but I don't know if its going to kill it. Many people don't even know about this games existence, most people might not have the PC specs for this, and most people who play WoW think they're leet skeet cause that games so easy so they play it all day. Playing the beta, this game is a little harder to level so people might get discouraged and stop playing the game.

It gets on my nerves when people say its a WoW clone, because WoW copied off alot of the major mmorpgs before it became one. Like everquest and Dark Age of Camelot for example. I have played this game and its nothing like a WoW clone, the graphics are way better, there is zero lag, and the quests aren't as easy. Definitely not a "WoW Clone" more like "WoW killer".

its was soposed to be lineage 3 (technically) but that wouldn't be right and yea i agree the beta was awesome i believe the next one there is no lvl cap like the last beta where u can only get to 10 (wings) and thats it after that lvl 25 PvP in the abyss =D

Aion -looks- good, feels good and plays well. Still like EVERY OTHER MMO recently its design is lackluster and makes no breaks for new design concepts to move the MMO market out of its stagnation. And no, flying combat is not a new design feature or enough to make it move.

yes but this game, or the trailer at least, boasts volumes of themes that make it almost almost identical to some of the places in Northrend, I.E. Coldarra for the first elven floaty arcane stuff. For that electrical bit it looks just like the boarder between dragonblight and the borean tundra

1st, aions lore is NOT anywhere near as big as WoWs yet.
2nd, Aion is a PvPvE game, WoW is not, thereby no PvP interaction with PvE.
3rd, If you ever did raid in BC you understands that for example Mimiron Hardmode is almost the same difficulty as Vashj or Kael'thas.
4th, What i've experienced and seen in Aion, all bosses are more or less just Tank n Spank, not really any skill involved here eh?

WoW is fun to play and hard to find any game as addicting as WoW. But WoW is not perfect. And just because Aion has frozen landscape doesn't mean it's a WotLK copy, seeing as Aion has been in the making for years. The gameplay of Aion is nothing like WoW, it is an improvement of Lineage 2.

this game is so homo , tried it and i never play it again , it has such an emo atmoshphere , like everyone is crying etc... and gameplay of this game is stupid like most of skills u can only use when you dodge or fall a sleep playing this game ... this shit is boring as runescape and its ordinary asian mmorpg , grindfest with 5 skills and u use only 1 of them aw and mouse spam ...

In all honesty I believe this game is more enjoyable than WoW, but I don't know if its going to kill it. Many people don't even know about this games existence, most people might not have the PC specs for this, and most people who play WoW think they're leet skeet cause that games so easy so they play it all day. Playing the beta, this game is a little harder to level so people might get discouraged and stop playing the game.

It gets on my nerves when people say its a WoW clone, because WoW copied off alot of the major mmorpgs before it became one. Like everquest and Dark Age of Camelot for example. I have played this game and its nothing like a WoW clone, the graphics are way better, there is zero lag, and the quests aren't as easy. Definitely not a "WoW Clone" more like "WoW killer".

its was soposed to be lineage 3 (technically) but that wouldn't be right and yea i agree the beta was awesome i believe the next one there is no lvl cap like the last beta where u can only get to 10 (wings) and thats it after that lvl 25 PvP in the abyss =D

Aion -looks- good, feels good and plays well. Still like EVERY OTHER MMO recently its design is lackluster and makes no breaks for new design concepts to move the MMO market out of its stagnation. And no, flying combat is not a new design feature or enough to make it move.

Ugh... what I hate is the fact that alot of people who play WoW just love calling other MMOs WoW clones even when there are differences, so to you people, get a life and enjoy the games for what they are: ENTERTAINMENT
Just because WoW introduced some features and other misc stuff to the MMO community doesn't mean that everything is a bloody ripoff

yes but this game, or the trailer at least, boasts volumes of themes that make it almost almost identical to some of the places in Northrend, I.E. Coldarra for the first elven floaty arcane stuff. For that electrical bit it looks just like the boarder between dragonblight and the borean tundra
