can u run this on a distributor so it only fires when nessesary? I mean if you've got spark like that it'll burn the fuel before the valves close... burnt valves!
hi great work. try knocking off the ground electrode on the spark plug and show us that. should have the same sort of effect as a firestorm plug. what type of capacitor is in the background?
I just mix high voltage AC from a car ignition coil with a lower pulsed DC voltage at 220 volt. I have not tried with any water or steam yet but I'm planning to.
1. How do you plan to control this in a precisely timed manner?
2. What kind of longevity do you expect to get out of a plug that has that much current going through it?
3. Will the light bulb be required for each operating cylinder?

@KLowD9x 1. No timing is needed. A capacitor is charged and then discharged whenever the spark plug ignites.
2. Actually, that is the biggest problem. In my car the plugs wears out too fast.
3. No light bulb is required. Look at my other videos about installing in a car.

mmm delicious ozone...
Please spray water into electrode or perhaps aerosol sprays.

instead of bulb can you replace a shielded metal resistor 100ohm 100W
can i see your schematic?

Automobile ignition coil steps up to 100-200V ... hence a standard 60W bulb can lite... If you really wanna go tesla, need a tesla coil.
morpher44 2 years ago
the automotive ignition coil is allot more than 200 volts morelike around 30,000 volts to 100,000

I can reverse engineer this ... 555 timer feeding Power Transistor... driving automobil ignition coil feed spark-plug. Fun fun.

could you gives us the circuit please?

Please spray water onto your electrodes and let us know, if you get more loud bangs then.
Many thanks.

Your using the light bulb to limit the current?
luckyfire3 3 years ago
the volts are very high,I'm guessing the amps are fairly low,but you could get seriously hurt or killed under the right conditions

is that spark able to split water vapour ?

is it just my eyes, or are we seeing nothing but a standard spark plug sparking?

does your bulb light by using radiant electricity ? in other words : is filament heated or simply all gas in bulb is turned incandescent ?

standard ignition coil output to spark plug is about 2.4kv for each cylinder at combustion engine.
if you just replace the ignition coil with higher capacity..wouldn't that make plasma spark?
dreamyear 4 years ago
the lightbulb works like a fuse or choke limiting the current.

hi guy interesting setup. looks similar to the plasmatron of mit.what voltage & amps is it using

hi what type of lead was used to fix to cap of plug to take voltage stainless/nology? and what voltage .

Hi Fredrik999z
Interesting experiment you've got there. Would you like to explain this circuit?
I simply don't understand what the lightning of the bulb exactly has to do with the plasma arc. Thanks and keep on going with learning stuff. :o)
