I remember reading the same thing they were trying to do the same from the love scene with Rob Redford and Meryl Streep. Days was at it's best they had so many amazing couples. ... Steve& Kayla, Justin& Adrienne, Shane & Kim, Roman & Diana... I really miss this, Soaps are not the same anymore. There was so much anticipation and build up before a couple actually got together. Yeah, the circle turning was a little odd, but I still love these scenes. I remember reading in an article-- probably soap digest back then-- that Days was copying the love scene from the movie "Out of Africa". I never saw it, so I'm not sure how similar it really was to that?
Exactly! It seems like the writers used to love tormenting us forever for that first kiss, the first real talk, the first dance, etc. It drove me crazy, but I purely loved it when they finally got together. I miss it.

It's to do with attracting advertising. The older you get, the more invisible you're supposed to become. And since the preview for today's episode featured both shirtless Lucas (ugh) and shirtless Max (double ugh), it looks like Days is going to follow the usual trend (triple ugh).

In the 80s they actually made couples wait before jumping in the sack. There was more anticipation. I think now they just jump in and out of bed.
