Hey Robbie if your DM takes you to this point he is a crappy DM. A DM job and yes it is a job is to make you happy. So if you walk away from a game and are not happy then he is an idiot. Your issue is not with you but with your GM. If he enjoying making your gaming experience is miserable then the GM is the issue. I would GM you Robbie and you would walk away saying "I had fun".
Robbie is so geeky it hurts, yet I'd still love to game with him.... lol. But if he metagamed in a game with me as a fellow PC, let alone a DM, I'd be piiiiiiissed. I've many times played the "And an arrow hits you square in the face" road with metagamers before. I'm an avid D&D player and gamer, and I support this message.
i never really let the players die, i give them the options from the game fate: 1) Regain full life but lose some experience to return to your point of death, 2) regain full life and return to a nearby point at the cost of losing gold, or 3) regain full life and teleport to the nearest town but you have to race to get to your gold pile at your point of death before it disappears
isn't character death a lot like a hardrive. (You just eventually can't get rid of files) I think if my gnome died, i would go on the premise that gnomes are great for producing offspring.... Can you run an post adventure. Like relive the character in different stages of its life, if you have had your character that long, if its a new character then hell, you can erase the memory. I have one character and although he does nothing, and has been the party depressor, he still is my oldest character
That is a hell of a mullet/quiff thing that Robbie is sporting.
He also seems to have Warwick Davis' face. Its a bold look.
