  • jay chou is always the best.

  • Great song, not so great video.

  • long time no see... soo catchy compared to other songs -.- okay maybe superman is good too

  • this is one of the jc songs that would sound better if someone like Fei Yu-Ching covered it

  • damn. sounds like an 80s wuxia soundtrack. this is some kinda genius.

  • it is fine with the story..the biggest problem is the editing where jay chou stands on the bridge kinda thing.. it's too bright for a sad story, the lanterns are more likely to a chinese new year celebration x( how bad~ i love this song~

  • いい曲ですね。

    歌詞は、よくわかりませんが

    悲しい感じがよく伝わります・・・。

  • Other ppl prefer the superhero song. iono y but for some reason this is my favorite song in this album.

  • i dont really like the colour correction of this video, i understand that this is suppose to be a sad song (or from the idea of the story behind the video) so shouldnt it be more fitting that the colours are more dark and mellow? here, they are all bright and vibrant, which looks more like a happy commercial, especially at the fighting scene, which made it look comical. the video ruined the song

  • @charlotteT5278 I understand your feelings. But try to look at this video from another perspective. If you have ever been to China before, you would know that the country is of no big difference from the rest of the world now. Thus, all the things you are looking at in this videos, the lanterns, the old buildings, the people, the whole beautiful story, are supposedly buried in the dirt now. I'm sure you've felt this at some point of your life before, that is, what is the reason for living?

  • @Hewdgedik Disregarding all the joy and happiness in your mortal life, you will face the inevitable end. Just like these characters in the vid, they had their laughters, they experienced the disasters, they either found their loved ones or not, but now, they're all goners. Isn't that the saddest life gets? This, adding up to the atmosphere the music created, allowed the song to reach the depth of one's heart.

  • Love the song, but MV sucks.

  • wish this have eng subs.love u jay!

  • @shuacha Hmmm...

This song is not easy to translate, because it contains a lot of ancient words, even over 90% (I mean people, not the words) don't know what does those word (about 10% of words is not easy to translate) means!

    I think so...

  • @shuacha It is not very easy to understand even if you know Mandarin.

  • @ChinesePhoneme

Agreed. I grew up in mainland China but I've no freaking clue what he's saying.

  • @AHeartOfPlastic 能看懂我現在說什麼嗎^_^

  • @ChinesePhoneme 能啊。可是我一般读简体字。

  • is this song in a show? kinda looks familiar....

  • this mv... really for this song..?

  • @StrawHatConquersYT yeah....isnt it fcking obvious? u fcking dump or something?

  • @lolzzxz lool at least i don't have anger management problems kiddo.

  • 待到伊人归来时,洛阳花已死。

  • Okay crap that was only the first part.

  • @ponziFTW theres a second part to this???

  • @HiCeetheJuice I think the 1st part he meant is 0:00 to 1:00

  • @pking199 oh nvm :p i thought there was a second part to this, but oh well. wouldve been cool though...

  • I think it's a good thing the video's kinda comical cos this song makes me cry.

  • i love this song,i just found it recently, and i noticed it was uploaded on my birthday :)

  • cool

  • that was sad, i should look up the lyrics but sometimes i still have a hard time understanding vincents words xD

he is a genius, and the way jay delivers it is amazing. together they're unstoppable <3

  • 歌词很好,歌也不错,MV有点太花俏了啊。but I still like it, thanks for uploading:)

  • 我查了一下剧情,说最后公子和丫鬟一起殉情了,可是看了几遍没发现。谁能告诉我在几分几秒的时候殉情的呢?

  • @metaljingo I don't think it's been told in this MV, I didn't see it either.

  • MV不错!=]

    最喜欢就是方文山作词的歌

    不知为什么

    听了就会有很特别的感觉

  • The title itself, 烟花易冷, actually refers to a love story from The Record of the Buddhist Monasteries of Luoyang (洛陽伽藍記) in 547 AD. It's about two lovers who are torn apart by time and opposing circumstances. The story relates to the metaphor of Fireworks Cool Easily, so sort of say "how the grandiose of this world vanished as easily as fireworks" (jay-chou.net). It's just another example of the genius of Vincent Fang.

  • i love this song!!! but i dont understand the translation english :S

  • this video has so meaning! JC's really a excellent singer

  • 楼下的SB啊 想现现自己的华文好啊?吗的 这个肯定是新加坡的香蕉人来的 半桶子水还装的文嗖嗖的...

  • ...樓下那樣寫真的會有外國人看的懂嗎

  • @germing 可能吧 (- -") ~

  • ..fireworks..omg sia...this 烟花 is not fireworks....pls try to understand e real meanning ...

  • @yaoyn : I dont understand it either.Because every translation show that fireworks, could u pls translate it?

  • @Yuruanable it has multiple meanings~ 烟,smoke,花,flower the flower is insubstantial which will fade away soon. my favourite poem:幽兰露,如啼眼,无物结同心,烟花不堪剪 i believe is the same 烟花 in this song famous poet, 李白also had 烟花三月下扬州 so it simply means flower of course, it can be firework, because we might not be absolutely correct tat's the beauty of chinese character~ for fireworks, 万点轻雷无数花,流光散绮到天涯。 also flowers^^
  • @Yuruanable actually it's fireworks, and just a much beautiful description for it, 煙花/烟花 in directly translation is kinda like " explosion flower," or " fire flower," describing how the firework got shot into the dark sky and opened/exploded like a flower in a beautiful bloom, so it does mean fireworks in old times, and was usually used by the poets.

  • @yaoyn 烟花 is not fireworks then is what? smoke flower? go and find me a picture of smoke flower than tell us its not fireworks.

  • beautiful mv
