Sounds like what you are going through with cigarette addiction is the same thing that dieters go through breaking food addiction. If you can lose 15 lbs you can stop smoking. So, its a good thing you are working on both at the same time. It will be a journey but not one you cant complete. I wish you well. God Bless!
Congrats on the decission to take better care of yourself. Body, mind and soul is not easy ;just take baby steps. Know that anything you put your mind to with the help of God u can achieve.
Congrats on your weight loss very proud of you! My mom smoked for over 35yrs, one day she woke up and couldn't breath took her to the emergency room from that day she quit never picked up another cigarette. She said she smoked out of boredom and to have something to do with her hands she don't really know why she did it. Mslady if she can quit and haven't smoked in over 7yrs its gonna be hard but you can do it we support you! Good Luck!
Congrats on the weight loss my mom you to be a heavy smoker so I know that craving is something strong... will pray for you that you continue to have the strength :)
Good to see you back:) and btw you look really good for 45 girl! and congrats on the weight loss that's great! and you can kick the nicotine habbit!! just focus on other things.
good to see and much success to you Sheri!!...I smoke when im in a setting around others, but I dont walk around like Puff the majic dragon.(lol..hope that doesnt offend anyone)... buthow ever many I smoke is too many..they not good for me not to mention the rising cost...Thanks for sharing..Peace and Blessings Grace
You look so gorgeous momma! Congrats on your weight loss!!!! ..and I don't have anyone in my family who smokes but I do have friends that smoke and alot of them have quit, so I know you can do it!!! You are in my prayers love!
Hey Gorgeous lady, congrats on changing ur life!!!! If you put ur mind to it sweetie, you can do it!!!! I'm sooo proud of you cause I know how hard it is. My hubby has been strugging to stop smoking as well. all my life I grew up around ppl that smoke. My mom was a big smoker and she had asthma!!! I haven't been doing the weight loss, but I stop drinking soda as much and drink lots of water now. Since then, I lost 6+lbs..I know if I can do, you can do it! Take baby steps...Good luck my friend!
That's great .. Tip.. When you get the urge to smoke .. Hit the gym.. Use working out as a replacement for smoking .. Find a 24hr gym so anytime you get the urge just workout and eventually that may develop into a new healthy routine.
Congrats on the weight loss. I'm definitely cheering you on since we both are losing weight. I use to smoke myself and you can stop. Its a daily decision and reassurance that you are not losing anything but gaining from not picking up the cigarette. I got your back and just remember its about a momentary decision. One moment at time until it becomes one day at a time.
Pray for the Craving to be removed. You know it's in your system and your body will crave the chemical. So when the urge comes give it a few minutes and it will go away. Just handle those minutes doing something else. Water helps to flush out the body. I too use to smoke. Praise Be to God!
Wow honey congrats to u on the weight loss...thats great! I wish u all the best love! You'll get the job done on that smoking too girrrl! God is with u and He sees your efforts mama!! :-)
heeeey beautiful i know u can do it u have my support ....stay praying like u are i will do the same for u and congrats on your weight loss cant wait for the vid :)
congrats i have not bought a pack in over a year and i will admit i cheated a few times with a cig here and there so a total of 6 so u can do it just keep doing what u are doing p.s my partner was the ammo for me to quit
Congrats on your weight loss journey and your soon to be smoke free journey. It's a process and just like you lost your weight one day at a time...quit smoking will be the same. I'll be praying for you!!!
OMG!!! Same thing here! I have been where you are girl but let me tell you this...I stopped smoking and you can do it too. I started working in the cancer center and it changed everything for me-no joke. It is SUPER hard to stop I know but when you watch people lose a loved one day after day after day---it's heartbreaking. You don't want to do that to your family. I will cheer you on girl...YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
Just sent up a prayer for you that you will be victorious in your goal . Some ex smokers that I know have said that the patches work but that they still felt the need to have something in their hand to mimic the hand to mouth movement they had become accustomed to while smoking . Because of this some have opted to use electric cigarettes to hold . Congrats on your weightloss!!!
a friend of mine was a smoker and quit.. maybe get something or gum that you like that you can chew or munch on when you normally smoke.=)... congrats on the weightloss and quitting..=)
normally do in these situations. When we don't want to deal with these feeling we are deflecting. Meaning we want to push that to the side, ignore it so we wont have to deal with those feelings. because they are uncomfortable. btw Congratulations also, on your 15 pound weight loss! whoo hoo! lol
There is an acronym that I think applies to All addictions and it's called FLAB (FRUSTRATED,LONELY,AGGRAVATED, BORED) when you have a craving, asking yourself if you are feeling anyone of these feelings because these are the reason we lean on our addiction so we wont have to deal with these feelings. We are told to do something else in place of what we would
*applaud* I applaud you for acknowledging publicly, you have a problem. That takes a huge amount of courage, so congratulations! I don't have the problem of smoking , but I am addicted to sugar. I have been obese and I finally took charge of MY life and had Weight loss surgery. It had help tremendously, but it's still not easy, at all!
congrats. I spotted smoking also. My kids use to bug me for years. One day I woke up and said enough is enough. It was hard at first, but it's been over 3 months and I don't even think about it anymore. Now I can't even stand the smell of smoke. I feel 100% better (I don't with breathing anymore).... Stick to it you can do it.....
Heads high, Im proud of you bec old habits are hard to break. I have the terrible habit of eating cornstarch for years despite what everyone had to say about how weird and distasteful it was, I still loved it but now I don't eat it. Last Oct my Dr explained to me that my blood work shows that I had low iron and that's why I craved non food items like how some people eat chalk, well I craved cornstarch, so I can relate to your addiction, Good luck and every minute counts and matters!
Congrats on your weight loss. UR doing 2 things at once weight loss/stop smoking and I know U can do it. I grew up with my parents, aunts/uncle N others smoking around us.
