  • oh that is so true but very funny.

  • LOL! I love this!!! These are the ladies of my church!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!

  • This is soooo good! (: Whoever wrote this is really good at parodys! (: Haha

  • My wife hates when I reference her in a sermon. But if she would stop burning dinner or started using her blinker, it might not happen so much.

  • Good one, ladies!

  • HILARIOUS!! love it!

  • @BradSSFL Why do you think that? I think it's just some beleaguered pastors' wives harmlessly poking fun at a flaw in their partners' sermons, reminding us that we believers...yes, even pastors, are still human and in need of heeding some advice once in a while, even if couched in a bit of, what to me seems like clean and benign humor.

  • LOL. A tongue-in-cheek word to the wise guys, pastor or otherwise.

  • NICE!!!!

  • This video is BEYOND sorry. If you call yourself a Christian and endorse this video, oh, my, what a hypocritical action!

  • Parody of "Before He Cheats"... Made me laugh even though I'm pretty sure none of the pastors at WHC ever use THEIR wives as illustrations in sermons...

  • Hey culd i get a copy of this, i wanna use it for a sermon illustration... lol! JK! i love the song. you need to do one for Pastor's kids now, cuz that is wat i am. ;)

  • LOVE IT.

  • any chance of getting a copy of this? I would love to use this it is brilliant. Dave Weiss check my youtube videos on the amokarts channel

  • HAHAHA! This is awesome!

  • Good Stuff!

  • Too Too funny! And true! Only Christians can laugh at ourselves properly. Religious stuffed shirts can only take themselves soooo seriously that no one is left encouraged or lauging! Great video! More please!

  • I am a pastor's wife. A member of my church sent this to me and I will send it to all my pastor wife friends.. Love it!!

  • Hey, I always say nice things about my woman from the pulpit.

  • First my husband was a grocer, 2d I have been divorced for over 19 years.... having said that- IT'S ABOUT TIME! Better late than never. Wish he could here this song! This is G-R-E-A-T!

  • Sorry, I meant to say, "Wish he could hear this song", not here the song. This song IS funny and when it was played at the Pastoral installation service last Sunday, the congregation loved it.

  • Sooo funny. I AM a pastor's wife and I'm always wondering what my husband will say about me in his sermons. Then I have to sit there with that cute little smile, as if he is he could do no wrong...I'm sending this to him. I love it!

  • Haha! That's really cute, well done, you guys!

  • you go ladies - that was really awesome, and very nice singing job on whomever did the vocals.

  • Well, that was disgusting?

  • That's hilarious! P.S. This video was on the BIG screen in Church today!

  • I think this is great! I'm a PW and a PK and I've been used in lots of stories over the years. You take it all in stride. Private counseling??? Are u kidding me? Lighten up a1b2c3d4e5again! It's all in good fun. Good job ladies! I've passed this on to many and they've gotten a real kick out of it.

  • Excellent

  • And your language shows how much of a Christ lover you are and talking about how they are wrong. :P

  • It is for fun, I am a pastor and thought it was funny, We like to have fun to you know

  • lol

  • i don't know if you guys sang it but you have a really nice voice and nie lyrics!

  • good job very funny

  • Growing up in church, this absolutely hits close to home. I could tell by the look on my pastor's wife's face when he was in trouble.

  • From a PW in Washington state, I did think this was funny. I am blessed my husband usually asks me first before using any stories of me in the sermons. Although I do like telling them myself;-)

  • This is hilarious! This is why I love FHC so much! The elders of the SDA Churches these days are so set in there ways! I really enjoyed a sermon Pastor Mcdonald did the other day! He was saying that we are so focused on our traditions and not on the people! To all you weirdos who don't think this is funny! Live a little!

  • Hi beckypooh03

I think we're wasting our time. For the earnest expectation OF THE CREATURE waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. Ro. 8:19KJV In fact, creation itself is waiting for our full restoration as heirs and sons of God . . . Remember how meek and humble Jesus was before the court and how we must be like Him before the close of probation, which begins at God's house read Eze. 9.

  • I love this, it's hilarious. Good on you!!

    :)

  • Bravo from one PW in CA!!

  • My dad is a pastor and I always HATED being used as sermon illustrations-- especially in high school when he'd preach on purity or temptation and stuff like that and he'd make comments like, "That's why my daughter won't date till she's 30!" or when someone else would preach like that, he'd throw in an "AMEN!" Gosh... I've yet to understand why pastors embarrass their families...

  • you gys are rly good singers, Beautiful voices

  • I love it. Really shows that it's not all uptight in there, they know how to have fun and be 'normal'. This is funny stuff and I like it a lot. Well done.

  • Well done! Great singer too. :D

  • Haha! I'm a Catholic priest and I enjoy this :-) Reason #7324 for celibate priesthood. Hehe. God bless all those pastors' wives.

  • Cute! I hear my Pastor poke fun at his wife and daughters ALL THE TIME... i hope someone emails it to him. Good job ladies!

  • cool

  • This is amazing! I am a PK and my dad has used both my sister and I in sermons as well as my mom. Loved the video!

  • Haha that's aweseome ( :

  • WOW very very good near perfect integration of lyrics A++++

  • Hysterical!!! Thank you for sharing!!

  • That was hysterical!!! I am sending this one to all of my friends married to ministers including my mom! ;) LOL

  • Wow! That this is great! As soon as the music began to play I immediately knew where this was going! I am sending this to my wife! I am a minister and she WILL AGREE!

  • This is just way to good to not be shared. I love it.!!!

  • I am a pasters wife and I thought that this was perfect. I loved this. My husband is actually the one who e-mailed it to me.

  • Funny thing... and something to think about.

  • TOO FUNNY! I promise I will watch what I say! Great video!!!

  • haha my pastor does that!

  • There aren't any better pastors' wives to do this than seventh day adventists. they really do get talked about way too much from the pulpit!

  • I loved this vid. I am so going to give this to my aunt, she's soon to be a preacher's wife and I bet it'll bring a laugh or two. =)

  • This video made me laugh. I worked at Florida Hospital and have been to this church. I had to show it to my friends at work and they loved it! Good work!

  • our pastor's wife played it today during the sermon in front of the entire church when our pastor started a story. the entire church laughed. and later when he continued with the story he used another woman and such.

  • robinearhart

I laughed so hard that I cried! My husband is a pastor, and he loved it as well! Thank you for the laugh, ladies!

  • Hats off to the Preachers' Wives. This was wonderful.

  • so funny

  • HAHAHA oh my goodness! I laughed so hard through this. Being a PK, I think I understand some of what the wives are going through. My momma found this funny, too. Thanks for the laugh!

  • hilarious! definitely works for all the tv pastors too.

  • wow.. that is hilarious. definitely works for all the TV pastors too.

  • I think you gals are strong, empowering SDA women and good representations of the faith!!! As a former military officer (Adventist female officer), I walked into an Adventist church one day where the pastor got up to talk about what women should wear. I'm glad that was not the church I walked in to at age 14 in jeans. All that church did was love me despite what I wore. I'm in the church today because of that kind of non-judgmental love. You go girls!!!

  • You go SDA ladies!!!

  • I don't like... expose the church like that...

Using a wordly rock music... did you read sda teacher Samuelle Bacchiocchi in the book Christian and the rock music?

  • Poor Sam. Great scholar, lousy theologian, and doesn't know anything about music.

  • Get a life! If the church can't take criticism or examine itself, we may as well be back at the Inquisition or thinking the world is flat and the center of the universe.

  • Awesome Stanley!! so funny.... great work.

  • How true to life!!! The Pastor's Wives fight back!!! You go girls! ...another PW

  • wow. I'm a preacher and this is so cool to hear! I'll think twice the next time I bring my wife in... oops, I mentioned her again! hahaha

  • being a preacher's kid i find this very hilarious. my dad is always using my mother in his sermons. i guess i really didnt think about what she thought about it but, if its anything that these brilliant women have going through their minds, then God blass her!

  • bless*

  • as a SDA Pk (pastors kid), I think this is great. ha ha. Many a time have I sat in the pew and heard a story I didnt even know about myself being told to the whole church! sometimes embarassing, but hey, if it helps others see that we're human and somehow can be used for Gods good, why not. Loved the video! (also the song choice, i find it hard not to think the 'real' lyrics though haha)

  • cute.

  • I am a pastor's daughter and I think that it is funny because my dad uses my mom in a lot of his sermons. My sister sent him this video and he used it in his sermon and my mom says that about sums it up.

  • it is soo true.

  • This is great- never have heard it put quite this way before, but it gets the message across!

  • they showed this at my church last sunday

  • I really enjoyed this video,... nice job ladies,.... my teacher showed this to our class and I had to look it up and show it to all of my friends... :) Nice job ladies!!:)

  • Great job, ladies! I thoroughly enjoyed this video!

    One suggestion...

The Hospital Church was always very gracious with acknowledgement when I wrote songs there - I'd like to see that acknowledgement as well for the very talented singer of this parody and especially, the lyricist. Parodies are not simple to write.

    DC

  • Lyrics by Tami Cinquemani

    Vocals by Kaitlin Rushing

Music is from a karaoke CD

    Everything else by Stanley Pomianowski

  • I am an ordained Baptist minister only one word to say about this........ouch.

  • As a pastor's daughter, and a speaker at times myself, I got a big kick out of this video (I use my family in my sermons, also). My mom, the pastor's wife, enjoyed it as well! We both think Ellen W. would get a chuckle out of it, too, as she had a sense of humor. Too cute! WTG ladies!

  • This is great! As a Pastor's wife I can definately relate. I always sent this to my husband to watch. Of course this video will probably be mentioned in his sermon now, lol.

  • OH that was SOOOOOOO funny. I listened several times. Love the catchy tune, the drama and the message. Thanks for placing this on YouTube for all of us! Keep producing such quality truths in such a pleasant, humorous way.

    I love being a Pastor's wife, but oh yes - I relate occasionally. :)

  • This was great - being an adventist pastor sitting next to my wife WHO definitely agrees with this song - Thanks for the smiles.

  • ROTFL! Rolling on the floor laughing!!!

I'm a pastor's daughter who is very grateful that my parents made a mutual decision at the beginning of my father's ministry that he would NEVER mention the family in his sermons.

It's public enough just to be a member of a clergy family. Unlike others, I have spent my whole life feeling protected (in that way). More pastors (men and women!) should consider making the same decision my parents did.

  • Man oh man can I relate to that! I'm also "the wife of the pastor" of a sister church in Orlando. You girls did it right!

  • That's awesome!!!

  • Hummmm...I wonder what Sister White would say!?!

  • She would be playing the bass or drums

  • Way to go girls! Thanks for the ideas to use when he uses me as a sermon illustration. No seriously we know we all love our husbands, but occassionally well it's nice to turn the tables : ). Sometimes I don't mind, but some things, well you know.

  • ABSOLUTELY RIGHT ON THE DOT! I can relate to this, oh my goodnes, can I relate to this. I was crying of laughter. I have been in ministry for 15+ years, and it is a surprise when my husband shares something in his sermon. However, we have such a great rapport. The funniest was when he forgot our anniversary, and I kindly reminded him: It's October 19, Javi. And he said, "Oh, that's right, I always get it confused with the GREAT DISAPOINTMENT date!!! Oh, did we all laugh!!

  • Excellent job on this video. My father is a pastor, and I don't ever remember him using my Mom in a sermon illustration. However, the one time I remember her giving a sermon, she used him in one of hers. :)

  • PERFECT!!!!! You gals are fantastic!

  • way funny! Most of the men in my family are pastors also, and yep, I have been a sermon illustration way too many times!

  • So true. I'm a pastor's kid. Great video. Our pastor linked to it in the church newsletter. Now there's a good sport.

  • I LOVE it! All the men in my family are pastors...They and my female relatives will certainly watch this one! :) (Oh, and as a pastor's kid (granted I'm almost 30), yeah, it's just as bad!) :)

  • I LOVE it! All the men in my family are pastors...They and my female relatives will certainly watch this one! :) (Oh, and as a pastor's kid (granted I'm almost 30), yeah, it's just as bad!) :)

  • I too must confess that I have have to plead guilty if my Wife were to charge me. Now what needs to happen is to have a song from the children's point of view - I'm afraid they have made great illustrations over the years as well!

  • Wow...i should have seen this before I preached this past Sabbath. It was a topic on communication. And guess who I used as the main illustration? My wife, of course ;)

But I did begin by saying, "I have my wife's permission to share this story." hahahahha

  • Priceless. Thanks for summing it up :)

  • this is too funny! i'm sharing it with my pastor's wife friends, and a few of their husbands too... :)

  • Wonderful! My pastoral students will all see this!
