What's he driving these days? In the '80s it was a Corvette and then he moved on to a TVR of late. Always curious to see where all our money goes, hehehe! :)
Ahhh yes, that was certainly a sneeze worthy of the BradThunder name! Wow, I never would have thought so many permutations of the same album could exist! I collect stuff too but on those rare occasions when I dust and vacuum I seem to wipe out my entire collection! Well 75% of it anyway, LOL.
BTW, how many megabytes (or gigabytes) was this upload?
Unfortunately, due to family commitments - he's not as prolific on the music front as he used to be ie. an album each year. He's only made two this century although the third is brewing as I type!
Just glad I was facing away from all those paper covers and shiny. clean vinyl when I let that sneeze rip!
Thanks Andy - had a lot of fun making this - even so, it was still whittled down from about 90 minutes of footage - it's just so hard not to talk about every record - because - at the age they are - nearly each one has a story!
Btw, I've upgraded the tinfoil hat to a titanium/kevlar-lined lead helmet!
I keep thinking about those folks who have their entire music collection in digital format. What happens if they get a super virus that wipes everything out or there's one of those mega solar flares that lays waste to every electronic device on the planet? We'll still have our vinyl. To look at.
we could stop bickering and team up for a reality show like Strictly Come Dancing - with our respective record collections we could play it and the gals could dansette
brilliant we have a stack of tube way army and Garry Numan stuff in our house and when we were parking our car in Arundel Sussex a little while ago
we just parked and there he was parking his car
it has a personal number plate with WEB on it

It was over 320 MB and took an eon to upload and as long to process!
Yeah, there's only so much you can do with a 5" silver disc these days - like everything else now - there's no imagination. Except here on YT!

Flexi discs, I had completely forgotten about those, I had tons and if I remember, they weren't great quality sound?
purpledew 3 years ago
I have quite a few from the 'Smash Hits' days.... And yes, they did sound like sandpaper!

I had no idea that Gary Numan had put out so many records.
Way to work the sneeze by the way. Very funny as always.

What a great video Gary. Nice beginning btw ;)
I knew you liked Gary Numan, but i didn't realise you liked him THAT much! Well done to your parents btw for naming you after him.
Those aeroplane shaped discs were amazing. I've seen anything like them before.
Loved your enthusiasm in this video. I know how you feel.
There is something special about vinyl isn't there? Making my own videos made me realise that, once again.
Thanks for the response. I'll try not to invade your head any more :)

I know what you mean Gary. I could have talked about my 45's for far longer than i did! But was conscious of how long i'd already rabbitted on for!
As you say, they all have a personal story.
My series of videos has made me think about all of those stories & about possibly even recounting some of them. Hmm...
Us vinyl junkies need to stick together mate :)

Andy Williams? Hmmm...
Great collection Gary. I should get out bit of mine..but probably no one is old enough to remember half of the artists! hugs, Chris

Best. Christmas. Album. Ever!
Your collection would make a great show and tell....!?!?

I do remember many a worn hole, yes.
Wait... what??
Oh man, I had forgotten about the flexi-record things. We had them here in the states too waaaaay back when.
I remember the same talk surrounding Japanese imports (higher quality) but could rarely ever afford to buy one to compare.
*emo tear*
12:07 - OOH SHINY!! 8-)
13:21 - Gesundheit!
As happy as I was/am that digital came along, there IS a kind of texture that only analog seemed to have.

12:07 - never been (and never will be) played!

Today's Number One is tomorrows plant pot holder.
And there was I thinking Gary was a one hit wonder... but I was wrong you have made a few good videos
randomwritings 3 years ago
in the old days it would have been a pot plant holder!
LeSaMilano 3 years ago
It's the influence of Noddy and a fork and slade
randomwritings 3 years ago
I just got that! It went right over my head, it was so high!
BradThunder 3 years ago
Today's Number One would be better off fertilizing the plant inside the pot! Along with the rest of the charts. Sorry, Hit Parade.
BradThunder 3 years ago
Is that why there is no more vinyl - just Seedie's?

Just don't write to your MP - 3 times I tried and I got told to take a walk man!

That's a two sided argument and definitely going off track

Well pick A side!

There is only a choice of two and B sides that I like the uniform this side wears; it is more stylustic than jeans and a T-shirt
