  • I am so terribly disappointed that this band never got the recognition they deserved, so sorry I never saw I live Gig, I was living in South Africa at the time, sad.Shows you that music is not dead to hear this artistic excellence.

  • is there anyf ootage of when it kicked off afterwards.. the interesting bit

  • <3

  • Where was Conway hall?

  • Jeez I was at this gig and the pied bull gig for stations of the crass recording.crazy days

  • awesome, thanks for this

  • See Steve Ignorant in No More Propaganda, 77 minute DVD.

  • i guess this is synchronising footage

  • A the only way

  • a fucking great punk band

for me they are in top 10 best band of the fucking word ,shit

  • love it

  • POLONIA WARSAW Oi!

  • Wow, thanks! Everything is great except the fire on the band and crowd at the end. Great old footage!

  • @spayspay yeah I agree - wish I hadn't bothered with the tongues of fire - was just trying to mask some of the repetition.

  • What is this Persons Unknown documentary? I think I'd like to see it. In any case, thank you for posting. his is great to see. It's also nice how the crowd has more of a presence than the band. Less rock star that way.

  • Thanks for posting this up - hear alot about Crass - but what a fucking load of shit!! what was all fuss about?? No better than the likes of Disorder or any other really bad punk band of the early 80s. Teenage angst gone mad.

  • @SexPistolsExperience -Crass was great for several reasons. In all seriousness, probably the most IMPORTANT band that came out of the early "punk" movement. Not for the music, but their ETHICS.

    And DISORDER were great. haha!

  • @xNervousxBrainx

    an early Discharge mate

  • @DOTTYROSETORUNSKI of course! The early DISCHARGE singles still hold the test of time. Not to mention inspiring tons of other bands!

  • bloody wankers!!

  • Wish id been there-i was only a teenager in the early 80s and didnt visit the UK and stay there for 6 months until 89-90.I heard of CRASS over here in NZ in about 1983 myself and have loved them since.Totally unique and unlike other bands, not sold out per se in the standard way-one has to have money to live these days. Its about being true to the principles of freedom and anarchy in the true meaning of the term-which isnt the law of the jungle-everyone would have to be armed to live.

  • Great work! this is the best quality live Crass Ive ever seen! <3

  • crass is the better anarcho-punk band of all times

    ANARCHY AND FREEDOM!!!

  • With out a doubt, one of the best bands of the late 70's!

  • Yeah! This is POWER! Sound and lyrics are the BOMB!!!! @

  • didn't the NF show up and a big fight happened?

  • @xxxKINGFROGxxx yepp.

  • @xxxKINGFROGxxx

Yes, The usual Radish Faced Bastard-Bullies turned up, believing there'd be a bunch of Defenceless Pacifists to intimidate & pick on....

But that night was a Revelation, Skinheads being Beaten Silly -Like rag dolls, -You actually felt Sorry for them, -Radish faced Essex Bullies-Beaten.

In the end, the place was crawling with Lousy Police... - Skinheads + "British" "National" sponsors were losing badly & turned to their patrons for Help. The Police Arrested the Skinheads !

  • anybody know the month & year of this conway gig?.....when i was a punk kid, andy & me went to a crass gig but can"t remember when......anybody out there????....just nod if u can hear me

  • theres plenty of good bands out there that no one has any idea they exist

  • Marx fucks.

  • @Svensjair are you calling the crass marxists??

  • @jesselakerr no man ! christ hahaha quite the opposite, im QUOTING crass.

  • Well edited

  • why do you say todays musics shit? Youve got no local scene in the usa? i pitty you so much

  • you a' horrid...

    and got sucky opinions..

  • I never thought that Crass would be so popular and 'influential' when I was into them and saw them play, I thought they, like most bands have over the years, would become forgotten.

Its a shame they were not as popular when they were still going. And good that they haven't jumped on the payola 'reform mega gigs' scene thats making punk an irrelevance. Maybe it always was, maybe not, but this 'package tour/end of the pier shows' are turning punk into a revivalist middle aged joke.

  • Unfortunaly, today the punk music is dead. Music today dont have soul and ideas it´s just a lot of shit do it to make money, and this is not music.

  • which is why MY band is on mtv, and we just have millions of dollars.....fuck off

  • you must not listen to much music then if thats what you think

  • Crass fucking rules.

  • glue,squats-snakebites-punk-still at it-a ok

love crass-saw me through prison-steve,penny,andy-allus luv

  • sorry to hear that

    :-P

  • do u know about the new world order?

  • seems to be missing all the NF skinhead thugs! edited from history?

  • great stuff. posted it on the Facebook Crass page.

  • Wow, I remember when I was younger, wondering what the hell Crass looked like. There seemed to be no pictures or video of them anywhere. I alwaysa pictured the drummer as a high school kid in a band uniform with his snare haha.

  • they sound way better live

  • Damn, they sound more chaotic live.

  • ANARCHY!

  • fuckin love it,I was at this gig in red lion sq and the pied bull islington.

  • Steve Ignorant had the best voice in punk rock.

  • Do they owe us a living?

Of course they do, of course they do.

    Owe us a living?

Of course they do, of course they do.

    Owe us a living?

    OF COURSE THEY FUCKING DO.

  • i know i have that song..

cant remember what its called tho

    ????

  • do they owe us a living?!

  • ...Four! ...Three! ...Two! ...One!

    ...FIRE!!!

  • hahahaha i lol'd at the special duties reference

  • anarchy works personally but not nationally. What do u replace the system with? It'd end up in choas as we're not altruists and it'd be look after number one. Human nature.

  • i always thought crass just sung their songs live, not wave their arms at the crowd and stuff

  • They can't wait to... USE IT!!

  • exellant stuff

  • I was waiting for it !

  • Great editing and video. Thanks for devoting your time and effort, where is all the original footage, does it exist?

  • awesome we need more!!!

  • Ohhh yeahhh!

    Crass(L)

  • I used to go to Conway Hall every year for the Anarchist fair weekend. They'd hate having me there now. Some of the people are way to closed minded and conservative. That's why I liked Crass so much, they were so much more than another set of rules.

  • "Do they owe use living?

    OF COURSE THEY FUCKING DO!"

Simple and on point. Long live pure punk!

  • This is SOOOO cool...THANK YOU so much for posting!!!! I've seen CRASS w/ POISON GIRL late '70s/early '80s in Neuss/GER....a night to remember for the rest of my life.

  • Thanks!!!!!

  • i was at all the conway hall gigs-poison girls, epileptics, sid, zillah, baggy, perry, sack, leftie, right mental nights

  • Brilliant, shouldnt bother with those effects i tink cool fotage do! nice one

  • Cheers - Great to see some LIVE CRASS Footage
