@SexPistolsExperience -Crass was great for several reasons. In all seriousness, probably the most IMPORTANT band that came out of the early "punk" movement. Not for the music, but their ETHICS.

And DISORDER were great. haha!

Wish id been there-i was only a teenager in the early 80s and didnt visit the UK and stay there for 6 months until 89-90.I heard of CRASS over here in NZ in about 1983 myself and have loved them since.Totally unique and unlike other bands, not sold out per se in the standard way-one has to have money to live these days.Its about being true to the principles of freedom and anarchy in the true meaning of the term-which isnt the law of the jungle-everyone would have to be armed to live.

I never thought that Crass would be so popular and 'influential' when I was into them and saw them play, I thought they, like most bands have over the years, would become forgotten.

Its a shame they were not as popular when they were still going. And good that they haven't jumped on the payola 'reform mega gigs' scene thats making punk an irrelevance. Maybe it always was, maybe not, but this 'package tour/end of the pier shows' are turning punk into a revivalist middle aged joke.

I used to go to Conway Hall every year for the Anarchist fair weekend. They'd hate having me there now. Some of the people are way to closed minded and conservative. That's why I liked Crass so much, they were so much more than another set of rules.
