@Rocker8822 No fancy processing- hard pan left/right with the mics, no compression, no EQ, a tiny splash of Bricasti Reverb, but just enough to add a little space.... then, unfortunately, youtube compression!
Feel free to shoot us any questions about the gear or recording path to audio@soundpure(dot)com, or feel free to request the high resolution audio file (full res at 88.2k 24-bit so that you can listen in your studio)
@RiverroadRecords Thanks for the comment. This amazing instrument is actually in stock, and available for sale. Please don't hesitate to shoot us any quesitons you have about the instrument, or recording gear we used in the chain. Glad to help support anything you are going, be it recording or instrument acquisition. Please don't hestiate to e-mail us anytime at acoustics@soundpure(dot)com
@ThisIsntLukeKim The "vintage now" specs are different string spacing and neck profile. It's a subtle difference for most, but some players prefer a little wider spacing and rounder neck like this one
If I may give my opinion, I think finger picking and blue grass is a great way to show the instruments full potential in sound but a lot of us are strumming when it comes to the acoustic. Maybe you should have more videos showing more strumming like in a pop/folk sort of manner to appeal to musicians like myself.
@Onetruthrgv If you are serious about making a guitar upgrade with us, we can help you narrow the focus, and even send you sound clips of a particular instrument doing exactly what you'd like to hear to confirm it's what you are after. We continue to post as much diverse playing as we can, but obviously it is entirely impossible to please everyone- some people want jazz, others want classical (yes, on a steel string guitar), quite honestly the requests are essentially endless- doing our best!
Maaaaaaaan I know this is a video about the guitar but that guy's playing is magical! I keep rewinding the vid to try and figure out what he's playing.
@sc12100 Thanks for the comment, we completely understand why you would be, they are really magical instruments- If you decide you are ready to look into getting your first Collings, we would be glad to walk you through our large inventory, or even special-order you a piece using one out preferential build slots. Just let us know!!
@Fichtezxc We hope that you will come visit us one day too! In the meantime, hopefully each of these videos bring our shop one step closer in the virtual world... we are really working hard to have more videos released more regularly, so you will have more to enjoy. In the meantime, if there is every anything we can do to help you, be it with recording gear or guitar gear, we are glad to do it. We assist our friends and clients all over the world with the best of the guitar/recording worlds.
Is there any processing? Reverb? compression? or just raw?

@tman916x Well that's true, I'm just not sure why you wrote that? All of our videos have an intro, and begin at that moment in time.
