@Suuhlem yours must be a base model then because I've had my mac for a year now and still hasn't crashed unlike when i had my windows pc and it would crash every hour or so when i used stuff like photoshop, in design etc plus windows pc's close applications without your permission and restart them selves without telling you

norton anti virus is really bad, they earn so much because they advertise alot.
its quite simple, viruses are programs, programs have to get from a to b, to do that they have to download onto your hard drive and install. thats the only way that transmit, just leaving your computer connected to the internet or surfing doesn get you a virus.
As long as you have a good firewall (or the one on your router) and a good spyware cleaner, you should have no problems.
Agreed norton suck, but yeah :| it just seems highly unlikely not to get any viruses for more then a year unless you're not using the internet much for any thing.

you must be using a machine with OS9 or earlier or you aloud the virus onto your machine via Admin access, my advise....if your machine tells you that a file you downloaded from off the net could be an application and its just an mp3 etc. DONT INSTALL IT.
