  • This video is making want to transfer to OSU!!!

  • BEAUTIFUL : )

  • BEAUTIFUL : )

  • The song is : "Breathe Me" by Sia.

  • the guy in 3:36-"gay people are cool"..he is so cute when he says that

  • You guys are awesome!

  • The boy at 1:01 is soooo hot!!! Was he implying that he was gay also? Or was he just admiring his big brother?

  • That was simply incredible. I'm in tears.

I'm imagining myself doing that, my friends, my family. Whoever had this idea is a visionary and a great person.

    Thankyou, so much.

  • the song: "Breathe Me" by Sia

  • I love the message of this video - and every person in it.

Does anybody know the name of this song? I've heard it so many times but I have no idea what it is.

    Thanks.

  • the girl at 2:05 is hawwt!!

and thnx this vid helped me cos im scared abt coming out and this made a difference

  • Aww.

    I Love This Video.

Im Gay. And Its Very Sweet. ;]

  • I am gay and lived in Baker in the early 90's. Thank you so much for your message. You make me proud.

  • Go Buckeyes!

  • This is so sweet.<3

  • Thanks for your open-minded message. This is an amazing story of diversity and acceptance. Be confident, be proud!

  • You guys are amazing! Thanks for offering such a positive and open-minded message!

  • What an awesome video - GREAT job guys!

  • wow, tat was such an amazing video. the world would be a much better place if everyone accpeted ppl for who they are, like in the video. wish tat there are more supportive ppl like tat ard the world.

  • Kirk & Madsen:

"STEP 1: TALK ABOUT GAYS AND GAYNESS AS LOUDLY AND AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE.

The principle behind this advice is simple: almost any behavior begins to look normal if you are exposed to enough of it at close quarters and among your acquaintances. "

  • That was truly one of the most inspirational GLBT videos that I have ever seen. Thank you Ohio State for putting that on. It makes me happy to see my fellow Ohioans standing up for a worthy cause. My thanks and gratitude goes out to all of you for this fantastic video!

  • i am an open gay guy who came out nearly 5 years ago and ive never regretted a single moment of it its made me a more coinfedant person im proud to be out

  • wow... i wanna go to ohio state now

  • so inspirational!

  • I am an only Bi 17 year old girl.I am glad to see people who are happy with who they are as people.I also think its great that you made this video it helps me to people to come out to one of my close friends. He is a huge christian but I think with this video it has given me the courage to be who I am and know that even if he doesn't accepted me anymore just because of who I am then I know I have the rest of my friends and the gay community to support me.

  • This was an excellent video. Even when I was at OSU in the late 90s, I remember it seemed to have a very accepting environment. I am straight, and happily engaged, but my best friend and roommate for 2 years there is gay. I remember how tough he said it was when he came out, but he was supported by everyone. Thank you for this great video, that sheds another positive light on our great university.

  • Hey,let me start by saying that this movie was greatly put together and its nice to see a group of people that feel so strong and stand for one thing, the unity and companionship is felt,i just wanted to know how u got the sia-breathe me version with no lyrics in it,i love it. Thank you for your time,Kyle

  • If we all had the courage you guys do I'm sure there wouldn't be as many misconceptions about what it means to be gay. Thanks for being the change you wish to see in the world.

  • I am a openly lesbian teen... I am 1000% ok with who I am... The only hard part is finding that number one girl... I had so many say I was just wanted to try it... I hate that...

  • looks like a very loving community. that's awesome, if only there were more like that around everywhere.

  • I absolutely love the music to this!

  • Go OHIO STATE!!!

  • Don't be mean. =)

  • kudos! I'm bi, not really out, not really in. I mean I don't just go and tell anyone, but if they ask I tell.

being in the GLBT community ROX with an x lol

  • yeah, same here. :)

  • it sucks even more to be a minority within a minority -latina here

  • I'm a little confused. Baker Hall West has only four floors of residents. Are they all gay...?

Anyhoo, coming from the perspective of a straight man, I can only guess that this must be very encouraging for gays in the closet. Although I don't morally approve of homosexual behavior, I know full well that people are free to live as they choose and hopefully more people will realize this and stop with the slurs and hatred.

  • I support gay and bi 100%. but it's nice to see someone who doesn't not resort to name-calling and slurs.

  • dude, if you're gonna be a retard and say swear words in another language, at least learn to spell them right.

  • follow follow we will follow RANGERS.. everywhere anywhere we will follow on...

follow follow we will follow RANGERS if they go to Dublin we will follow on

For theirs not a team like the GLASGOW RANGERS no not one and their never shall be one

Celtic know all about their troubles we will fight 'till the day is done

for theirs not a team like the GLASGOW RANGERS No not one and their never shall be one

  • Does anyone know what the song thats playing in the background is?

  • Breathe Me by Sia.

  • I agree with the last guy. Gay people are cool...

I'm straight (to the extent of my knowledge) though I suppose I could be classed as bi because I believe love is way more important than gender. Anyway, I loved the video. It was really inspiring. ^-^

  • wow! this video is so uplifting and so inspiring. I am a future transfer student to OSU and I cant wait! This community is so open and accepting. I am openly gay and proud. This video inspires myself and everyone in the gay community to continue living their lives to the fullest with their heads held up high. Good job to those who made this video, truly a work of art. GO OHIO STATE!

  • i love people who are open-minded and don't have any issues with gay/les and bisexuals :D

Im a lesbian myself and know so many others who have the same thing..Even those who are still in that damn closet. If i had a crowbar i would love to break them out of it!

  • This video was AWESOME. Go OSU LGBTs! As far as the small minded, bigoted comments, those people still haven't answered the Big Question, so they can be safely ignored. :)

  • first off, I'm a a girl and I don't have ANY dick let alone a small one and I, unlike you, don't need to use big words in order to make me seem more intelligent. Go play in traffic :]

  • skidsee, you are so old-fashioned i could probably see dust wafting up from you as you walk. what an ignorant sod you are! talking about healthy lifestyles - i fear for your mental integraty and i'm sure i'm not the only one

  • its assholes like you skidsee that should be witch hunted.

  • let me assume a few things about you, you are a closed minded catholic who is ruled by their religion, a homophobe and you view yourself as superior to everyone, I do not respect you because you are unable to think for yourself, I love the Gay community, my sister is gay and I have NEVER seen any straight couple as in love as she is with her girlfriend, her gf goes to ohio state :]

  • mtuele uwe macho- hizi ndizo siku za mwisho...

  • Beautiful... just... beautiful. Everybody who hates gays and lesbians, they are just people. My belief is that there shouldn't be a word gay or lesbian, you are who you are, you like who you like, and nobody can change that. So anybody embarassed or scared about their, sexuality, and you will never have to hide who you are.

  • WOW, that video was major inspiring! I loved it!! =]

  • Congratulations....you are just great

  • ooo i really liked that :)

  • WOW, awsome Video, loved it.... Alot

  • From the historically judgemental racist over religious south... There are hundreds down here who support rights of all people, race, gender, orientation... I am one happy Bi male to see this change in society coming. Love is an amazing force that should be fostered anyway possible. ~ Patrick - Atlanta, Georgia

  • Yay! Great video :]

P.S. That's one of my favorite songs ever.

  • Loved this. Very inspired. Thanks.

  • Very beautiful video. I too have experienced an odd 'goosebump' sensation that gave me courage and a more positive outlook. I just hope that people would be more accepting of their reality, for it'll be a lot more easier for everyone.

    From MA,

    Allison

  • UR ALL GOING TO HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • thanks for the video, keep it up

  • All the way from Australia, your group video gave me goosebumps. (Not sure what you call it) but its a nice feeling. Thankyou.

I especially liked the choice of music. Thanks for putting the Artist Sia at the end, otherwise i wouldn't have found it.

    Clint

  • Thank you!!! This is great!

  • right on people!

  • what can i say.

i shed more than a tear or two watching this video. i am 31 and have been out since 18.

it's inspiring to see so many people, young people who realise they can speak out and tell people who they are.

to all of us, may God bless us...for only He knows.

  • taht was beautiful! ( =

  • This is wonderful. Thank you. :)

  • AMEN!

  • So cool!

  • :) This is GREAT!!! I didnt even know about National Coming Out Day, so this is awesome... I come from a REALLY small town too, so I can totally relate to coming out in a close minded community...thanks for doing this :) you did a great job:)

  • Kind of different from when I went to University in the late 60s. Some of us lived out loud, but never grouped into a union. You all are great. Live Out and Large.

  • Much love Baker West! You guys are awesome! This was a Wonderful and Inspiring video from an amazing dorm. I have many fond memories of my time in Baker, I couldnt imagine my life without the time spent there! xoxo and Baker Love!

    Arlene

  • I'm so glad to see Baker Love continuing on and in such a genius way! This video response is amazing - nice job guys and gals!

    Brandon

  • I want to say that I love and miss Baker West, and without you guys I might not be who I am today. Baker was where I made my first gay friends and where I first felt comfortable with myself. Baker gave me the strength and confidence to be myself, and I don't think I would have came out so early without the support of the Baker community. Keep it up guys.

  • Wow, I am shocked. I lived in Baker during Spring 1982 as an out Lesbian. I was gaybashed by my roomate and missed a week of classes due to my injuries. This is awesome. By the way I graduated twice from OSU and my attacker was kicked out and lost her funding. YEA!

  • Although I'm not gay, it's really good to see all these people showing more confidence in themselves.. makes me want to organize a get-together for gay people male and female.

Wether it is to couple, or just boost their confidence.. it's always good to be amongst people who understand. Though surely here in Holland it doesn't seem like many really need it.

  • THIS video is motivating and inspiring..

  • i dont agree with being gay but i wont say nay or yay i will say i hope you find what you realy want what ever that is i know its diff for every one

  • Awesome vid! I <3 OSU and C-bus. The community here is great.

  • Completely and utterly brill.

One nitpick, though- the music got just a bit too loud to hear near the end...

  • This is a wonderful video and the perfect way to celebrate National Coming Out Day! It was great to see all these people and hear their experiences-- just really inspiring!

  • Aww, you guys are awesome for watching and commenting on this. I'm the guy in the black "It's Abuse" t-shirt. I helped with some of the editing and I am really happy with how it turned out. Thanks for all your support. :)

  • This is a beautiful video. I didn't come out until I left the USA to teach overseas. Videos like this make me realize how great the GLBT environment is in America, even though we still have a long way to go. I can't wait to return and live proudly.

  • i've been watching this nonstop for about an hour now. i freaking love this.

  • This video was amazing, thank you guys for the hard work that it must have taken to put it together! It's awesome to see such a positive community, and the influence that it has.

  • THANK GOD... real stories with real people!

  • i think it's sweet ..

  • Your stories are so moving. Never forget the struggles that those who came before us endured to bring us to the point we are today; even though we still have so much to accomplish. Thank you for sharing these fragments of your lives with us. You are such strong people... thank you!

  • awesome video

    be an ally

  • whoa!!!! guy in the orange call me baby! teehee :]

  • this is amazing.

  • This videos is such a great influence, and i abosolutle adore that everyone does understand and know how to support [i'm a supporter] and i think it just makes me even happier that the fact i AM from ohio. kudo for the awesome video!!

  • I have to say your video has honestly affected me in such a positive way. I live in the south and go to school at a university where luckily I can be an out and proud student, but sometimes I can't see the love that people have for the gay community and your video is just a reminder of that. You guys are awesome (and not gonna lie...pretty damn cute too!) Best of luck in all of life and I salute you on your job well done.

  • I'm extremely proud to live at Baker West too! I loooooove you guys so much. We definitely have the best living environment here and i wouldnt trade it for the world

  • HOW AWESOME! I too was a Baker Hall resident my freshman year at THE Ohio State University! Loved it! Ohio State gave me the opportunity to explore and be who I knew I was- A GAY MAN! This video made me so happy how far people have come w/ acceptance and made me cry, in happiness, remembering all the incredible moments I experienced at OSU as a student, person , and most importantly, a homosexual. Love you and GO BUCKS! DDM, BSN 1991

  • That was really nice, thanks everyone!

  • it amazing you did this at your university. i am one of 4 out gay people on campus.

  • This is fantastic! Congrats to all of you on this day!

I feel much better that I have finally come out to the world today.

  • Absolutely amazing job! I love you guys so much!

    //Kevin

  • To be totally honest. . I'm with a woman and I am one too.

I randomly clicked this (well actually, like three other things before this) and came upon this. Anyways, thanks for the support and those who don't support it, oh well. Just because you are jealous, or don't aprove doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

  • congrats to all who came out and decided to live honestly!

  • Quite inspiring, nice video!

    Peace=)
