that lead loco use to have the southern pacific written on the long hood walls but was removed in the last year or so and the ATN initals placed under the cab. I have in my possession the number board to the5387 . that number board was of DRGW heritage and when it was replaced with the current boards they were thrown into the dumpster. I went dumpster diving and got a trophy lol, thanks for sharing:)
All those tunnel motors were originally purchased by the Denver and Rio Grand Railroad for use on Colorado's tracks with MANY tunnels, they picked up the cool air at the lower parts of the tunnel, Kept the prime mover cooler that way!!
