  • Beautiful!

  • i was listening to this song the last time i saw the towers in person

  • I hate Talibian!

    Respect from Hungary

  • What in the frackle stick is this bullshit drizzle ? hmmmm??

  • The lyrics could reasonably read one of two ways. It could be critical of the religious principle that destroyed the Tower of Babel, or it could be critical of the human principle that created it. BR has many songs which take both sides. The criticizing of both God and Man is a contradiction that pervades most of their work.

  • please read the title again. Bad Religion, wait, dont read the title, but still, he made this video for the song. would you rather have this song set to bieber footage? thats what i thought

  • hate the intro, makes a big joke out of 9/11

  • @XxCallOfDutyAddictxX - The full speech from Jello Biafra was greatly edited for brevity, so his quote is slightly out of context. He was not referring to 9-11 as a joke, but rather the aftermath of constant corporate media propaganda pounding the war drums.

The real joke was the CIA training Islamic terrorists to fight the Russians in 1979. The US forgot this (or pompously didn't care) and is now repeating the same endless, pointless conflict that bankrupted and destroyed the Soviet Empire.

  • @Marijuanifornia thank you for clarifying, im glad its not an insult, but rather an example of serious irony.

  • @XxCallOfDutyAddictxX Yeah that sucked but the rest was ok. reminds me of how fucked up that was.

  • I like Dead Kennedys but Jello Biafra sounds like such an insensitive dick in the start.

  • @metaller8 It's kinda taken out of context, he was talking about how Amreicans are being conditioned for war by the constant propaganda. Seriously back then I was getting sick of watching them fall over and over too.

  • excellent video!

  • This is was happens when people don't wanna share love and peace !!!!

  • I ACTUALLY think that mr brett a jew who wrote this song about the tower of babel understands that it is a jewish story and 9-11 is another jewish tower falling by a jewish agenda that will happen again and again and again until the RELIGION STOPS!!!!! hence BAD RELIGION!!!!!

  • ya, its a good song, but this has nothing to do with what the song is about, expecially considering that this song came out BEFORE the 9-11 attack, this song is a reference to mankinds need to climb to the top and be a big success, but being at the top isnt all that its cracked up to be, and how easily you can get it all knocked out from under you, its saying that instead of living for the dollar bill maybe you should do something more meaningful with your life.

  • Please understand the definition of "irony." The video description indicates that it is ironic for a song about the ancient Tower of Babel to be construed as a reference to 9-11-01 and the aftermath. A "tower for the world" was destroyed by a "spoiled little baby" and resulted in the division of Mankind.

And if you consider yourself a 'real BR fan who can actually comprehend their lyrics', please remember that punk music has a political agenda.

  • fantastic video for this amazing acoustic version. well done

  • has nothing to do with the song....listen to the words and think about it before you make a video.

  • @rwschmidtIII Yeah I really hate that shit...

  • horrible video for this song......

  • WOW!! good Vid!! Thank you!!!!

  • great channel name by the way. marijuanifornia! lol

  • i though it was gonna be the recipe for hate version. i miss the harmonies. the priceless harmonies

  • 3:16 Bush giving the finger. Priceless.

  • so much better*

    stupid typo

  • dude, the acoustic stuff is so much. punk is supposed to be mature and enjoyable at the same time. it doesnt necessarily have to overly angsty and "kill the government"... dont get me wrong that has its place among punk. but this song is so much more meaningful. and by the way this song is more likely about existentialism and religion bringing down accomplishments of man. i can see how you would make the connection with 911

  • this needs more views

  • Damn it!!!! Why the hell does everyone want to hear this acoustic bs?!!! I want fast in your face, kill the government stuff. Forget this memorable garbage.

  • thumbs up if you heard the streetlight manifesto version first

  • @TheRobertMillerShow it was actually Streetlight's version that made me realize that I only had half of Bad Religions albums....

So a week before "Process of Believe" released, I impulse purchased "Against the Grain"

It is now my favorite album of all time and I have Bad Religion's complete discography...even "Into the Unknown"

Funny thing is that my first BR album was "No Control"....so close lol

  • @TheRobertMillerShow I am not seeing why that would be a good thing.

  • Awesome video. The addition of Jello Biafra was unexpected bonus.

There was one with the original Skyscraper, but I think it was taken down some time ago.

  • Read the whole thing,.. it says that its Jello,... besides, who could mistake that awsome voice?... :) there was a video kinda like this set to the original version of the song, but I can't seem to find it?... I dig this vid.

  • was that Jello at the begining?

  • @ZAnEPuNKpWnz nevermind
