i hate when thai people always think they are better than laos. they say that they are nothing like lao people. when really they are. both languages are similar. its so similar that laos people can actually understand it. but thai people say they cant understand laos. plus they are both SE asians. they need to help eachother not hate eachother. if thai isnt helping laos its ok because we have help from vietnam and china. 2 communist countries that i really hate. but i would like aid from thai

Reason why this is fake? Lao history is based on a people being known as ai lao. These people never existed. They have always called themselves Tai/Dai. Ai Lao was just the name of the mountain range lol There is no historic record (even by the chinese) of a people called Ai Lao :)

Thai&Laos ,They represent the same genetic and cultural chain of southeast asia. Genetic makeup, culture, and language all have similar roots.

Hi Kongsaden325 .Many of Lao who had escaped from Laos not all had escape from the same reason as to fight against the lao government .Alot off us escape to very dream to go to live in the third world countries as we were here now .And I know now the Lao government had more open and they don't even care if you or your father were not in their red list that's what I guest so only in my opinion . its true. the Lan Xang royal family (which survives to this day thu His Royal Highness Crown Prince Soulivong Sisavang) the Xiengmai royal family is directly related to our Lao royal family through the marriage of King Photisarath of Lan Xang to Princess Phra Nang Nhot-Kham the daughter' of Xiengmai's King.
