although one year old, this was only a proof-of-concecpt, patched together for that particular game. General game support with real controllers is still on my list - no ETA.
I currently have a zeemote with a hacked N96. And unfortunately have bought an iPhone 3gs and cannot play gamez with my big thumbs. Have looked on the dev site a little bit and was just wondering what u did, pls pls let us kno
Nice video. I really enjoyed watching it. I am running a marketing campaign to start a large auto detailing chain corporation. Let me know what you think by checking out my channel. Thanks
The Airplane mode only turns off Apple's BT stack. This proof of concept uses a new/different BT stack (see info) that doesn't know that about Airplane mode. Also, this demo was on firmware 2.2.1. But yes, if e.g. Zeemote would hand over enough money to Apple, we might see a Zeemote iPhone Joystick (using BT). :)
Actually it's real though. I was looking at it online(at a Blackberry store)and looked it up and they make them. It's recent that they released for Blackberry though
Yeah, its about as real as the bluetooth multiplayer this game has... The whole thing is on a cardboard box "set" hes steering by tipping the box. The camera moves with the box, and creates the illusion that the device he is hold is controlling the game. Also, if you'll notice, the device is an iPhone- not a Blackberry; you could give people the illusion you are more intelligent.
I'm more intelligent than you, since you're the guy looking for excuses to make it real. You could make yourself more intelligent by looking the product up and seeing how it works. As I sated before, this product has been out a while now, and the compatibility for Blackberry is in the recent months.
To add to my previous comment, since I just watched the video again to show my friend, if the box is being tilted, how come the iPhone isn't moving around? Come up with an answer for that, that's fine, but question number 2, how did he brake without touching the iPhone, you have to touch it to brake, he held a button, and iPhones require a finger touch, notice nails don't work? it doesn't respond via pressure
This is fantastic... Apple should also enable game play to be output to a TV and the iphone becomes a mobile gaming console!! Sit back in your favorite chair with your Zeemote bluetooth controller and play your favorite iphone game on your LCD TV. That would be so cool!
tutorial not a show off would be nice

looks like the nunchuk from a nintendo wii

Well since the remotes for the Wii are called Wiimotes, and this is called a Zeemote, it's not hard to figure out where the inspiration came from...

The zeemote looks pretty wicked

This seems possible, but... Airplane mode turns off bluetooth too, and there is no bluetooth icon in the top right corner next to the battery icon.
This would totally be possible in future updates, but this doesn't look real to me.

Genius, Its almost as big as the iphone! The ladies will LOVE the bulge in your pocket.

Common Sense: the Zeemote is closer to the camara (looks bigger), and Iphone is further (closer).

You can try TVOut from Cydia (Jailbreak only) to enable video output.
