  • That is the coolest sounding car ever!

The gearbox squeel, and the howl from the engine - amazing! Is that an A engine?

I know very little about those cars, but would really like to buy one (to race in the club championship in Denmark), although i had a spitfire as my first car (i loved it to bits :-)

What should i expect to pay for a little monster like yours?

  • Hi Thanks for the comment. Yes it's an A series built by me with parts from MED engineering. Power @140bhp. Peter May engineering sell all you'd need and a host of Mini tuning companies are handy too. Moss are good for any std/tuned parts too. The car cost £4300 with trailer but have easily spent 1.5 that getting competitive. The engine parts cost £4000 alone. Look on the Midget Challenge or FISCA Midget web sites for complete cars and expect to pay £6-8K for a front runner. Best of luck.

  • Cadwell is my fave circuit, well suited to the smaller 1380cc Midgets.I was at the back was that qualifying was held behind the safety car due to rivers flowing down the hilly bits. Our order was set on championship standings up to that round and as I'd smashed the car & myself up at Oulton (see video). Having only driven it 12' on to the trailer after finishing the re-build the night before, it was a bonus taking it easy and checking for problems b4 the race. Shame I didn't put enough gas in!

  • Fun Track. You are a fox amongst the hens, not fair.
